DEDICATION PRAYER
DEDICATING SOUTH AFRICA BACK TO GOD

Sovereign Lord, we thank you for receiving us each day before Your Holy Presence. We could never be marked present here without the blood of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ and with the authority and power of Your Blessed Holy Spirit. Father, the depths that the Lord Jesus went through to reconcile us to You can never be ignored nor set aside.  And today with confidence that we are Kingdom citizens, we come to dedicate our country, South Africa, to the Kingdom of Heaven.

Yours is a righteous government, Holy, Just and Faithful.  Today, in the Faith of the Lord Jesus Christ, we stand in Your presence, sanctified and made Holy unto You.  Search our hearts, Lord, and renew a right spirit within us.  If You find any transgression, iniquity or sin in our lives, sanctify us through the Blood of Jesus Christ, that we may be blameless as we pray.

You are our God whose righteousness endures forever.  Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.  We, Your people who are called by Your name, humble ourselves, seek Your face and pray and we turn from our wicked ways. Sanctify us by the Blood of Jesus Christ, that You may look at us as children of righteousness before Your throne of grace. Forgive our sins and heal our land according to Your Word of promise. Through the Blood of Jesus Christ and the power of Your Holy Spirit, we say, let Your kingdom come; establish Your righteousness and justice in the land of South Africa.

Lord, as dedicate our country South Africa, the portion of the earth it stands on, let it be sanctified by the Blood of Jesus Christ. We repent Father, for the evil counsels, fight for power, greed and other lusts that have taken over and is crippling our economy and its people. Lord, we ask that You consecrate South Africa.  Let the Blood of Jesus be upon the land that demonic entities using human shields will flee from their plans of evil. Set Your Blood seal and establish Your name upon our nation.  Father, we ask that as we pray, consecrate South Africa as we dedicate it to the Lord Jesus Christ.  Be pleased oh Lord as it is written in 2 Samuel 7:29 to bless it once more.  Sovereign Lord, what the enemy meant for evil, we ask and believe that You turn around for our good, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

We admit that our country is in a place of lewdness.  Corruption and crime is everywhere. Our land is wrought in sin.  Those who have been placed in places of authority have defiled a land that flows with milk and honey.  Parents have disregarded their responsibilities towards their children. Children have turned from their duty of honour. Your people have gone astray, having a form of godliness but denying Your Holiness.

There is nothing hidden from You. Where can we flee from Your presence? If we ascend into the heavens, You are there; if we make our bed in hell, behold, You are there. If we take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea, even there Your hand shall lead us, And Your right hand shall hold us.  O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and steadfast love with those who love You and keep Your commandments, we have sinned and acted wickedly. We have rebelled and turned aside from Your commands and ordinances. We have rejected Your Son, Jesus Christ, the Living Word - and today Lord, we repent.

Righteousness belongs to You, O Lord, but to us belongs open reproach. Our leaders, our fathers, and our people have dealt corruptly. We have forsaken Your law which You set before us. We have defiled the land You gave us. We have followed the practices of the nations around us. We have joined ourselves to foreign altars and turned our eyes away from the treachery taking place.  From the least to the greatest, we have been unfaithful. And this unfaithfulness has reached Your ears.

Sovereign Lord, we are ashamed to lift our faces to You, for our iniquities have risen higher than our heads.  This day we confess, because of our sins we are given into the hands of greedy leaders and unjust persons. Our rich yield is going into the hands of the unrighteous because we have been disobedient. In all our ways, we have not sought to You.  But this day, we turn.  We humble ourselves, seek Your face and pray.  We commit to turning from our wicked ways that You may turn toward us, have mercy and heal our land.  Remember Your great mercy. Remember Your covenant of a rainbow over the rainbow nation. Look upon our desolation. Hear the prayer of Your children. Take back South Africa, we dedicate it to You.  Consecrate it, that we may once more walk in freedom, in unity, in love, in care.  We do not present our pleas because of our righteousness, but because of Your great compassion. Lord, hear. Lord, forgive. Lord, listen and act. For Your Name’s sake, do not delay. Restore what has been broken. Cleanse what has been defiled. Rebuild what has been torn down that we may arise in Faith and be a blazing light to Africa and the World, once more.

Thank You Father in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Heavenly Father, how majestic is the Name of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, in all the earth.

We come to bless the Name that is higher than the heavens, stronger than a thousand seas; the Name of our Saviour who made it possible for us to reconcile with You by laying down His life for us.

Righteous and Holy God, You are the Judge of kings and rulers. You raise up and You bring down. No throne stands without Your permission, and no hidden act escapes Your sight.  This day we pray; we come to petition You to set Your eyes upon those who abuse their power and authority.

While we tremble at their ends, for grave warnings are found in Your Word, we petition You for divine intervention. Show mercy to whom You will show mercy and judgement to whom You will show judgement. In the first book of Kings 21, Jezebel manipulated authority, twisted justice, forged documents and decreed an innocent life to die that she may steal land. Yet Your Word has declared, what is the purpose of gaining the world and losing our souls?

Your righteous judgment came, You spoke through Elijah, declared her downfall and she ended in disgrace and death.  Let those who have done such things in our country, have the same decree set by You.  Those who manipulate power and pervert justice shall fall in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.

Lord, You suffered not even a man after Your own heart to escape his sins.  King David though anointed, abused his authority. He committed adultery and shed innocent blood.  His children died, violence did not depart from his house, and throughout his reign, there was conflict. Let no man think they can escape the all-powerful judgement of a mighty God.  When Solomon died, the country split, and its fragile future stayed until the coming of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Your Word reveals that You raise up wicked leaders when the country is in sin. Lord, we ask You to forgive us for being in a slumbering stupor when we should have harkened unto Your word and watched and prayed. Our lack of prayer, our floundering relationship with You, our disobedience of Your Word, our failings in fasting, in giving, in perfecting the saints, in being an encouragement to one another, has all contributed to evil running rampant in South Africa.

This day as we repent, change the hearts of our leaders. Replace who must be replaced and convict who must be convicted.  Let the people of South Africa know that abuse of authority produces generational consequences. We thank You for listening and addressing our prayer request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen
ABUSE OF POWER MANIPULATION
DIVISION IN BOARDROOMS AND POLITICAL HOSTILITY
Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, You are the Light from Genesis to Revelation, the beginning and the end.  By You, the worlds were framed, by the Word of God, so that the things which are seen were not made by the things which do appear.  You are the Ancient of Days and Prince of Peace, who parted seas and stilled storms. You walk with us through Your Spirit.  Thank You for Your mercy that has kept us shielded.  Sovereign Father and Savior King, You have seen the strife within our parliament, and fights within boardrooms. There is turmoil of hearts and minds, and peace has left.  In the councils of leadership, pride and jealousy bring conflict.

Lord, we cannot have civil servants, business leaders and shareholders act in uncivilised manners.  How will this country run when mindsets cannot be controlled, and hands resort to fighting? It is written in Psalm 24:1, “The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof”.  Therefore, they all belong to You, even though You may have given them free will.

In Daniel 2:21 we read that You raise up kings and You remove them.  1 Corinthians 14:33 tells us, You are not a God of confusion but of peace.  The Word of God is transparent.  It does not hide the reality of human conflict.  Rebellion rose from within palaces, homes, and even the church, many times.  In Luke 22:24, the disciples disputed about who would be greatest. And the Word was clear in Matthew 23:11, “The greatest among you shall be your servant”. John 2:15–17 proves the Lord Jesus in ways we may not understand. When zeal for the Father consumed the Lord, He cleansed the Temple. But when violence rose in Gethsemane, the Lord said, “Put your sword back in its place”.

Your wisdom, who can fathom? Therefore, we bring business leaders influencing our country, and civil servants to You.  We lift before You the Parliament of South Africa and business boardrooms.  Clashes, shouting, fierce confrontations, and fiery declarations may be heard but we have consolation.   Psalm 139 reminds us that nothing is hidden from You. Righteous Judge, Your Word commands “Seek justice, correct oppression” (Isaiah 1:17).

But it also declares: “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger… be put away from you” (Ephesians 4:31). Therefore, we say, let Your will be done.  James 1:20 says, “for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God” but we know that the wrath of God can produce the righteousness of man.  Let truth rise in the streets and integrity sit in the chambers of power. When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice.

Raise up leaders who fear You. Pour out the spirit of wisdom and understanding.  We have released South Africa back to a Holy God. “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord” (Psalm 33:12). Your kingdom cannot be shaken (Hebrews 12:28). Go ahead Father of mercy or Judge of the Heavens and the earth. Establish what glorifies You.  For Yours is the kingdom, the power, and the glory forever.  In the Sovereign name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
Sovereign Lord and Saviour King, Creator of the heavens and the earth, we come before You in humility and awe. We come to thank You for the rich land of South Africa wherein You placed us.  How great is our God.  Good and generous is He for giving us the oceans, and mountains, valleys and hills, lands to work in, filled with the riches of Your Glory.  Every good gift comes from above and we are so thankful for the beauty, the location, the size and the earthly resources You have given to South Africa.

Gracious and Sovereign Father, Psalm 24:1 says the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Haggai 2:8 reminds us that the silver and gold is Yours. Psalm 50:10 tells us that even the cattle on a thousand hills is Yours.  And while we are reminded that everything belongs to You, we are mindful that Your Word says, the heavens belong to God, but the earth You have given to man. We are supposed to take care of it, that it may produce in abundance for all.

And if this were not enough, You have made us a country wherein a large part of its people have received the greatest gift anyone could ever have – the gift of Salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ.

Saviour King, Jesus Christ, who died for us that we may become Kingdom heirs.  You have made everyone who works, accountable.  Sin in our country has turned our land into thorns.  It was given as the garden of Eden but the people of South Africa, and those who have made their homes here, sinned against a Holy God, making our land turn to desolation.  Though it may produce, the produce is not shared fairly.

Jeremiah 29:7 instructs us to seek the welfare of the city. Yet the policy bearers and those in power have sought self-enrichment.  You declared in Proverbs 14:31 that whoever oppresses the poor shows contempt for their Maker.  We, as Your vessels, ask You to break cycles of corruption and self-enrichment through illicit means.  Lord, remember how king David rebuked his army when they brought the spoil of Ziklag back but refused to share with those who stayed guard at the camp. We ask that You rebuke those in our country who are building their empires while oppressing the rest.   Father, Your design from the beginning was meaningful work. The Kingdom of heaven leaves no one idle.  Therefore, in the name of Jesus Christ,  we place the economy of our nation into Your hands. You are the Lord of the harvest, send labourers who are integrous, wise and caring.

Pour out Your Spirit upon our land so that the barren lands may become fertile fields and fertile fields grow like forests. Help us create employment and let those who are called to work, do so in gratitude and for Your Glory.  Teach us again how to steward what You have entrusted to us so that our land may prosper under Your guidance.

Father, remind Your people that according to Deuteronomy 8, it is You who gives us the power to create wealth and that we are to remember You in it. Our nation cannot be defined by thorns and thistles, but by the restoration that comes from Your hand. Let righteousness take root, and justice flourish.  Establish the work of our hands.  May our economy reflect Your goodness, as we labour under the mindset that You are our Master.

This we pray in the mighty and powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
LEADERSHIP IN BUSINESS AND THE ECONOMY
CORRUPTION & LACK OF INTEGRITY, BRIBERY, EMBEZZLEMENT
Abba Father, it is our good pleasure to come into Your Holy Presence.  You are the Ancient of days. Your Word, Your Son, Jesus Christ is our life-giving force. He is indeed our Sovereign Lord and Saviour King.

We seek You, Lord and King, for in You there is power to aid in all matters concerning Your children. You are a stronghold for the oppressed, a helper in times of trouble. We, who call You, Father, trust You.

Your Word says that sin is a reproach to any people, but righteousness exalts a nation.  Our land is defiled, but what a loving God we serve, to burn in the hearts of Your children here that they might come in unity, in one accord to seek Your Face and Your aid in our times of trouble.

Father, embezzlement is rife. Sophisticated methods are being used to target law abiding citizens. Criminals are not called to rule our land yet they are freely running rampant. We ask You today send out Your angelic armies, Your powers of heaven, to enforce rule of law here in South Africa.  Those that involved in White collar crimes that are hidden under the radar, expose them as You did in Bible days, and reward them accordingly.  Your Word says in Exodus 20:15, “You shall not steal.”.

You are a God of justice, and You see every hidden act of tax evasion, embezzlement, and betrayal of trust.  You see the land grabs, and other thefts. Lord, just as You exposed Achan’s hidden sin in the Book of Joshua, let the Light of Christ shine upon these criminal elements.  And do unto those unrepentant ones, as You did to those in the Bible.  Let nothing that is hidden remain concealed.  Every misuse of public funds, every dishonest scale, every act of greed, let their deeds come before the Judge of the heavens and the earth.

Judas Iscariot betrayed God and ended His apostleship and life, before a Holy God.  Lord let integrity replace corruption.  Let people be not deceived, for God is not mocked.  Let them know that their end shall be as bitter as gall. “Let God arise, let His enemies be scattered.”  Achan hid treasures and He was stoned to death together with his family. People do not realise that judgement comes upon their entire households through God Almighty.  God arise over South Africa.  Lord, we do not ask for personal revenge, but we ask for Your righteous judgment. If there are those who refuse to repent, deal with them according to Your justice. Remove their power. Stop their influence. Preserve the future of South Africa. Raise up leaders who fear You.

Father, where there is greed, bring conviction or Holy Judgement. Where there is deception, bring exposure. Where there is wickedness, bring repentance, or removal.  You are no respecter of persons.  In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Our Majestic Judge, Loving Father, Sovereign Lord, Saviour King, what a privilege, what an honour, what a crown You have given to us who believe in You. How mindful You are of us, declaring that You have plans for each of us, to prosper us and not to harm us, to give us a hope and a future.  This day, Lord, we ask that we be mindful of You, knowing that all things will work for our good and Your glory. You are our indeed the God of power, truth and authority.  Your Word says whom the Son sets free is free indeed and so we thank the Lord Jesus for being our liberator.

This day we pray for the liberation of those who are suffering oppression in their employment.  We repent if spiritual doors were opened through attitudes, incorrect speech, disobedience to laws and even of oppression as a result of our lineage.  Lord, we pray that employers may show kindness towards their staff for Your judgement comes in a multitude of ways.  Those who exploit labourers for personal gain, set their ways in paths of darkness and they will not reach the kIngdom of heaven.

It is written, The wages of a hired worker shall not remain with you all night until the morning.”  Again it is written in Deuteronomy 24:14–15, “You shall not oppress a hired worker who is poor and needy… You shall give him his wages on the same day, before the sun sets… lest he cry against you to the Lord.”  Father, thank You for taking abuse of vulnerable workers seriously.

There are many employers who have enriched themselves, and we thank You for Jeremiah 22:13, which records that they heap judgement on their households. “Woe to him who builds his house by unrighteousness… who makes his people serve him for next to nothing. Your Word says You are swift to bear witness.  James 5:4 warns of the cry of labourers. Let employers not forget Colossians 4:1 and Ephesians 6:9 which reminds them those who are masters that they also have a Master in heaven.  Let Your Word in Proverbs 22:16 which says those who oppress the poor to increase their own wealth come to poverty. Let them become poor in finances, relationships, business, spiritual, physical or how so ever You desire, for You are God alone.

We conclude this prayer declaring the devastation of the greedy, the oppressive, the wicked who do evil unto the vulnerable because it is in their power. Your Word says ill-gotten gains shall not last.  Let the rich who refuse repentance and turning away from their oppressive regimes, be led down to sheol for they give no praise to the Lord.  This we pray in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen
GREED & EXPLOITATION
Righteous and Sovereign God, You are the true Shepherd of Your people, the One who lovingly governs and sustains all within Your Kingdom. As it is written in Psalm 23:1, “The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.”  We have come to understand that under Your rule nothing essential is lacking.  You are a faithful provider, guide and protector.

Your Word also declares in Psalm 145:3, “Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; His greatness no one can fathom.” We declare this for we have seen Your great grace.  And in Isaiah 6:3 we proclaim, “The whole earth is full of His glory.” The earth You created, You have left nothing short that we may have life, and life more abundantly.

Through these truths we see that Your reign is not distant but caring and responsible.  Lord, Your pattern shows the way to righteous leadership, but our rulers have gone astray.

Your desire is that our country may be established, safe, and be a provider for its citizens. We  come in gratitude for His perfect example of care, guidance, sacrifice, and for the hope and restoration that flows from the Lord. Forgive us for our sins and trespasses that caused neglect and decay to our nation.   This day we pray over those who have been called to preside over us - those in power and authority -  to take care of the citizens of our country. Lord, You have spoken clearly against leaders who neglect those entrusted to them.  Sovereign Lord, South Africa’s maintenance and infrastructures have been left to decay. Monies meant for maintenance and restoration have been looted.  Arise Oh Lord, against those who have done such deeds.  People who sought to bring accountability to those involved in such thefts have lost their lives.

Lord, we have seen the hearts of many leaders who have become self-serving.  They have neglected facilities, and systems have become decayed. Maintenance and restoration across South Africa have been left to rust and become useless while those who were entrusted with funds chose to fill their bellies. Our country has been ignored and hope fades.  Yet Your Word stands, ready to act.

Proverbs 14:34 says, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people.” We have brought our country under condemnation because we are led astray by those who are called to serve, to protect, to steward, to show love and care. We therefore bring everyone in a place of leadership before Your throne. Let those who feed themselves of illicit gains be cut off.  Cause those involved in exploitation, corruption, and indifference to begin to weaken and fall.  Let the systems that crush instead of develop be destroyed. Your Word says that You will rescue the vulnerable from the jaws of distress. Arise Good Shepherd. Let hope return. Change the positions of those who refuse to turn from doing wickedly.  Replace them with righteous rulers.  According to Your Word, hold every leader accountable. Do what You must to bring healing, restoration and hope.  In You do we put our trust.  And we thank You, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
MAINTENANCE AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, above every name that is invoked, not only in the present but also in the age to come, is the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Our sovereign Lord, Saviour King, great Redeemer, the Prince of Peace, and the joy of all nations.

And the Lord who holds all power, does not rule in fear.  We are so grateful to have a God who wields such authority, who fears not what man can do.  It is written, Psalm 2:1–4,  He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall hold them in derision.”

Psalm 37:12–13 says, “The wicked plots against the just, and gnashes at him with his teeth. The Lord laughs at him, for He sees that his day is coming.”  And further in Isaiah 40:23, He says He brings princes to nothing.  He makes the judges of the earth useless.

He is our God, the One who commands the seas, who measures the heavens, and who directs the course of life through His Word.  And so we pray today, over those who are seated in places of authority and leadership but have no rule to enforce laws because of those who intimidate, mislead, and counsel for self-gain.  Across our country, there are many who are leaders but restrained from their duties due to fear of people, pressure, fear of job losses if they want to rule righteously. Lord You are a witness to those who are meant to govern with justice but instead are intimated, threatened or bribed.

Today we come before the throne of the Almighty, the King above all kings and the Judge above all rulers. We call upon the Lord whose word commands courage and whose presence drives out fear. For where the authority of God is recognized, the power of fear must bow, and those who lead can once again stand in freedom, wisdom, and truth.

Heavenly Father, Your Word declares in Proverbs 29:25 that “The fear of man brings a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.” Lord, we confess that too often, those in leadership have been tempted to look at the opinions, power, or threats of people rather than trusting in Your majesty. Forgive them and convict them to stay in Your Presence that fear may be driven or remove those who desire to divide our country by unjust decisions founded on fear.

We have seen how King Saul feared people and disobeyed Your command. His family was moved completely out of the throne.  Let our rulers stand firm and not bow to fear of job loss, reputation and public pressure for it is the Lord who shall keep His angels to stand guard over them if they be in one accord with God.

Lord, let them learn from Rehoboam, who allowed insecurity and the desire to assert control, that caused his kingdom to be divided.  Guard leaders from pride or fear that leads to harm. We pray that these leaders will make the Word a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their paths. Teach them the power that flows from Your Word so they will not place their trust in chariots and horses, but they will trust in the Living God.  Lord Almighty, Your majesty is unmatched.  Who by worrying can add one hour to their lives?  Let Your people not fear for their lives for those who try to save their lives will lose it, but those who lose their lives for Christ’s sake, the same shall find it.  This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen
RULING IN FEAR
WHISTLEBLOWERS AND OTHER KILLINGS
Most gracious Father, we delight each day, in knowing that while we are here on earth, we have access to You through the priceless Blood of Jesus Christ and Your blessed Holy Spirit. We say, Let the glory of the Lord endure forever; Let the Lord be glad in His works; for You Lord shows favour to those who fear You, to those who wait for Your lovingkindness.

The Lord takes pleasure in His people; He beautifies the afflicted ones with salvation. You Oh Lord exercise love and kindness, justice and righteousness on earth; We come with thanksgiving for Your Son, Jesus Christ, who was put to death as an innocent because You desired the world to be reconciled to You.  It is written, no one should be made a ransom for another’s life, for You are not a God that has pleasure in wickedness: neither does evil dwell with You. The foolish cannot stand in Your sight: You hate all workers of iniquity. You abhor the violent and deceitful man.

Father, we seek You over the killings of innocent people. Bring Your Word against those who have and desire to act corruptly.  Lord, bring Your judgment upon those poisonous, deceptive, blood thirsty people.

For those who desire sincere forgiveness, let them turn from their wickedness and seek You.  But those seeking to hide from justice, we ask You to root them out and destroy them. Let them fall by their own counsels; cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions; for they have rebelled against a Holy God, in a country where a large part of the population identifies by Your Son’s Name.

Sovereign King, You are a witness to the bloodshed of innocent lives in our country. Political killings, farm murders, whistleblower deaths instigated by those in power.  Haul these murderers out before Your Judgement seat.  Not just those who are hitmen and gangsters but also those who planned these evil works.  Let them be compassed about by Your angel armies.  In Your sovereign power, in Your wrath, in Your rising to judgement, cut them off from their evil works, and not just them but all who sit under their companionship. Father, You have seen those who plot and plan to carry out evil, You hear their every word and know their every action. Arise Lord and send Your angels as a stumbling block over them.

We have confidence in You, that he that trouble us shall bear his judgment, whosoever he be because Your Word says in exodus 23:7, “Have nothing to do with a false charge and do not put an innocent or honest person to death”, for You will not acquit the guilty. Your Word says that anyone who takes the life of an innocent will not go unpunished. No one can make ransom for a human being because You demand an account for that life.  Again, You say, whoever sheds human blood, their blood shall also be shed, for in the image of God are we made.  Romans 12:19 demands that we should not take revenge, but leave room for God’s wrath, for it is written, It is mine to avenge, I will repay, says the Lord.

Who can save their lives from You? You are a God who numbers days.  We who are called by Your name, call unto You to act. Cast these vile kind into ever-lasting darkness according to Your righteousness judgements.  This we pray in the name of our Saviour King Jesus Christ. Amen.
REPENTANCE FOR BEING ASHAMED OF THE GOSPEL
Sovereign Lord, Heavenly Father, I come into Your presence, not by might, nor by power, but by Your Spirit whom You so openheartedly gave to me. What can I say, does He who made the eyes not see?  Does He who made the ears, not hear.  Your Word reveals that not a thought is hid from You. I therefore come, ashamed to tell You that there were occasions when I have been ashamed of publicly using the name of Jesus Christ in my prayer, in my walk, while trying to conform to the patterns of the world.  I have fashioned my faith into my lifestyle. There were times when I should have spoken out but remained silent.  I sought acceptance rather than conviction. There were even occasions when I watered down the Word to fit into other’s desires.  Please forgive me.  It is written in Romans 1:16, that we are not to be ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God unto salvation. Yet I confess that fear of people, fear of rejection, and fear of embarrassment have sometimes ruled my heart.

I think of Peter, the Apostle, who loved You deeply, yet denied You three times. Father, I see myself in him. I too have denied You, not only in words, but in my silence, in my compromise, in my hesitation.  I remember how the disciples fled when You were arrested (Mark 14:50).  Lord, there have been times when I have fled from difficult conversations or opportunities to witness, because I was afraid.

I think of Nicodemus, who came to You at night, and Joseph of Arimathea, who followed You secretly for fear of others. Forgive me for any secret ways in my life, for believing quietly but hesitating publicly. Lord, I know You understood their fears. But I also found how You made them bold and courageous.

Thank You for Your Holy Spirit, who has confronted me, like the Apostle Paul confronted Peter in Galatians 2. Let me not be a hypocrite in public, when I am a child of God in private. I also repent for being attracted to the world at times. It is written, I am in this world but not of this world.  I carry the presence of the Kingdom of God and yet, I have been inconsistent. I understand that I could risk my salvation if my eyes desire a world that is passing away. The Bible says Demas loved this present world and turned away from an everlasting Kingdom.  Guard my heart, that I may not do the same, for the present world is passing away. Father, I repent for my ways.   You have entrusted Your Word to me.  I ask for forgiveness and receive Your courage to continue sharing this good news, that people may not perish.  May I never forget that Jesus was not ashamed to suffer publicly for me. Help me never to be ashamed to live publicly for Him. From this day forward, strengthen me to stand firm, speak truth with grace, and know that I am never alone, for Your power is within me, and Your angels are around me.

I receive Your forgiveness. I receive Your restoration. I receive Your boldness and courage. In the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
Let me magnify the LORD within me, and let me exalt His name according to Psalm 34:3.  For Psalm 96 says great is the LORD and greatly to be praised.   I declare as I come into the Presence of the Lord, Yours, O LORD, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the victory and the majesty… You are exalted as head above all.

Holy and Righteous Father, Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, You sought me and bought me with Your own Blood.  You see the heart.  Hebrews 4:13 says Nothing is hidden from You.

You are not moved by performance, fear, or empty words. You desire that truth may be found within me.

Father, in the name of Jesus Christ, I pray this day.  Let my prayer not be based on the consequences of my actions, but let these words come from a sincere heart.  I do not want to cry out only because I fear loss, pain, or discipline. Let me not be like Pharaoh who said, “I have sinned,” yet hardened his heart when relief came in Exodus 9.  Guard me from my own ways when You forgive, lest the pressure lifts and I revert to my old lifestyle.

1 Samuel 15:24–30 teaches me not to want to be like King Saul who confessed sin yet cared more about his image before people than obedience before You.  I pray for deliverance from my own desire for self-preservation, which may come disguised as humility.

Lord, change my heart to have You at the centre.  King Jeroboam in 1 Kings 13 asked for immediate prayer after seeing his hand wither when he dared touch the prophet of God.  Yet holiness was far from Him. Your Word says in Luke 6:45 says, a good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. Change my heart if there be any evil in it.  Let no idolatry remain, for I understand that idolatry shall bear its fruit, and its consequences shall find me.

Father, I ask for true repentance, change my heart to be pure in You, for blessed are the pure in heart for they shall see You.  Let me seek You earnestly.  Produce humility in me before You.  Let my repentance bear fruit for it is written in Matthew 3:8 that I should produce fruit in keeping with repentance.   Search me, O God, and know my heart. Test me and know my anxious thoughts according to Psalm 139:23 - 24.

Reveal to me where I should repent.  Jesus, MAKE me love You for it is commanded, I should love the Lord, my God, with all my heart, and all my soul and all my mind.  I pray again this day, create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
CHANGE MY HEART
REPENTANCE FOR FORNICATION
Almighty and Holy God, You are righteous in all Your ways. Your Word is true. Your commands are for life.  And those who disobey it, find their paths as briers, their destinies cut off, and their lives in tatters.  They are led to death.  Let us be mindful that You are a God who never changes. I thank You Lord Jesus, for the grace You have given over sins in my life.  I thank You, Father, for the days I see, that I may repent and turn from sin, that I may stay on Your paths.  The Word has declared in 1 Corinthians, 6:18, Flee sexual immorality.  I understand that this is Your Will, that I keep my body sanctified and abstain from sexual immorality according to 1 Thessalonians 4:3.

I come to ask for forgiveness.  Proverbs 7 shows me that the young lad who was drawn to fornication because he did not know Your Word, was led to death.  This day, I repent for committing fornication and thereby defiling my body. Help me never give in to the lusts of the flesh.  Let me never again negotiate with sin. Cause me not to be in places that tempt me.  May I never compromise what the Lord has done for me again.  I believe this day, that my heart is pouring to You because Your Spirit has brought me to Your mercy seat.  Whether or not I feel the conviction of my sin, let me believe that Your Word on fornication stands.  For my own life’s sake, cause me not to go down this path.  Save me and make my body as Your temple.  Sanctify me.  Though my sins be as scarlet, wash me whiter than snow.

Lord, I ask for Your mercy. King David, even with repentance, faced the consequences of his adulterous actions.  But Lord, I am so thankful, that in Your mercy, I have the Lord Jesus, who made redemption for me.  Discipline me, not in wrath, but in Your everlasting mercy.  For who can stand Your wrath?  I present my body as a living sacrifice from this moment forward.  Keep me without this sin, that I may be blameless to a loving God.  Father, give me the wisdom and courage of Joseph in Genesis 39:9, who, when he was tempted by Potiphar’s wife, said, “How then can I do this great wickedness and sin against God?” He fled temptation, and kept his destiny in You.

Protect me from the path of the young man in Proverbs 7, who lacked sense, lingered near temptation, listened to seductive words, and was led to destruction (Proverbs 7:7–23). Make sure I do not walk near the corner of those who lure me with seductive words, and flattering lies, saying that there is no condemnation, because vows in the house of God were fulfilled.  I pray this day, that Your Word become a continuous lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.  Guard my heart and direct my steps according to Your love and mercy.

Keep me from the downfall of Samson in Judges 16, who surrendered strength for pleasure and ended up in bondage. Let the incident of 2 Samuel 11 not be my portion.  I pray You keep me from the rooftop idleness and wandering eyes that brought David into sin with Bathsheba.  Teach me vigilance before the fall, not just repentance afterwards.

Keep me pure.  Keep me holy. Let me not defile what the Lord Jesus sanctified, through His own Blood.  This day, help me keep my decision from every act of fornication, sexual immorality, and compromise in thought, word and deed.  Even after the Lord’s sacrifice, churches have been found to be in sin.  A man sleeping with his father’s wife in 1 Corinthians 5, the sexual immorality tolerated in 1 Thessalonians 4:3–5, and the churches of Pergamum and Thyatira who tolerated idolatry and fornication in Revelation 2:14, 20–22, all reveal that this will never be acceptable in the Kingdom of God.  Lord, I thank You, that as I pray in forgiveness, Your mercy is at hand to help. This I bless You for, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
REPENTANCE FROM EXTREME WICKEDNESS
Holy, Righteous, and Merciful God, I come before You with no excuses.  I come with courage that my defence is my Saviour King, Jesus Christ - who never stops interceding for me.  Thank You, Lord Jesus, for laying down Your life, for allowing Your unblemished Blood to speak for my redemption.  Your Word is strong.  It is written in Ezekiel 18:20, “The soul who sins shall die.   My sin has been greater than I can comprehend.  I have found myself extremely wicked.  Psalm 130:3 says, if You marked iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? But Father, verse four says, yet with You there is forgiveness, that You may be feared.

2 Chronicles 33 reveals Manasseh, whom I mirror.  He filled Jerusalem with bloodshed and led a nation into idolatry. But then something unexpected happened.  He humbled himself greatly before You. You heard his plea, and You showed mercy.  Have mercy upon me, not for anything I can say in defence, but for Your Son’s righteousness.  Let the Blood be my evidence for Your grace and redemption. The deeds I have done has left my spirit broken.  Yet my heart is contrite.  Help me feel Your presence for it is written, You are close to such a one.

Lord, I have persecuted those who were weak.  I planned in my bed and carried out my actions because it was in my power to do so.  If You could save Saul of Tarsus, who persecuted the church violently, yet received mercy so that Christ might display His perfect patience according to 1 Timothy 1:15–16, there is nothing too hard for You.  Saul became the Apostle Paul, yet he was the “chief of sinners.”  I plead for Your grace.  I confess my wickedness.  I have sinned in thought, word, and deed. I have grieved Your Spirit, I have dishonoured the Most High God.  Against You have I sinned.  Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. Though my sins be like scarlet, make them white as snow.

Lord, if my heart be hardened though my repentance be said, I ask that I may have godly sorrow that produces true repentance, leading to salvation.  Keep me from the paths, the people, and any desire within me that may cause me to act in wickedness and do evil deeds against You.  If, Lord, through my stubbornness, You have turned me over to a reprobate mind, I pray mercy once more.  I make Jesus Christ, Lord over my life as I renounce and turn from the works of my flesh.  Establish my steps in Your Word and let no iniquity have dominion over me as it is written in Psalm 119:133.  This I pray in hope, and I receive Your forgiveness in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
REPENTANCE FROM ADULTTERY
Prayer of Repentance

Heavenly Father, Most High, Jesus Christ, I come before Your Holy Throne room, before Your mercy seat.  You need not receive me here, for it is my sins that have separated me from You. But I come because it is written, Your mercies are new every morning.

Lord, where can I hide from Your presence, I have indeed made my place in hell, but even there You have found me. Lord, I come before You convicted over my sins, broken by my actions.  Against You have I sinned, and done this evil in Your sight. Lord, I confess my sin of adultery and fornication. I have disobeyed Your command to flee sexual immorality according to 1 Corinthians 6:18. Yet I chose my desires over Your Holiness.  I have dishonoured You, and my own body.  It is written, marriage should be honoured and the marriage bed be kept pure. I have gone against this Word in Hebrews 13:4. Forgive me for defiling what You have called holy. Create in me a clean heart, O God, “and renew a right spirit within me.  Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin according to the repentance in Psalm 51.

Lord Jesus, You said, “Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.”
Make my heart pure again. Remove lust, selfish desire, and every unclean thought. Teach me to walk in the Spirit and not fulfil the lust of the flesh found in Galatians 5:16.

Father, I do not want worldly sorrow that leads to death, but godly sorrow that leads to repentance and salvation without regret (2 Corinthians 7:10). Let my repentance be real, and not just because I fear the consequences of my actions.  Turn my heart towards You, convict me.  You promised that if we confess our sins, You are faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness according to 1 John 1:9.

Now let it be pleasing to the Lord, though my sins be as scarlet, wash me by the Blood of Jesus, whiter than snow. In Faith I receive Your forgiveness and I ask for the power to change that I may never tread the path of adultery again.  I give You permission Lord, to cause my mind to be set on things above, and not earthly things.  I present my body once more, as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to You as is commanded in Romans 12:1.  Lord, I turn away from sexual sin today. I renounce it. I choose holiness. I choose obedience. I choose You. And I thank You for being an ever- present help, that when temptations arise, I will not be led astray.  With thanksgiving, I bless You Father, and Lord Jesus, in the name that never surrenders its authority to anything that might destruct the soul of the one who calls on You. This is the name of the Saviour King, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
SQUANDERING WHAT WAS NEVER EARNED
Dear Heavenly Father, and Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, I am blessed beyond measure to know You, the living God.  Lord Jesus, You have made this possible. Holy Spirit, thank You for showing me the paths of life. I am so grateful to have the Lord as my Saviour King.  Mighty and awesome is our God, who shows no partiality.  Your Word stands firm in the Heavens.

This day I come before the throne room of grace.  I come to repent for wasting what I have never earned. I never earned salvation, yet I am neglecting the path it has made for me.  In a world with all its offerings, I come to say sorry for neglecting such great a gift.  A gift that reconciled me to my Father in heaven. Yet in my lusts of the flesh, lust of the eyes and pride of life, I have despised it.  Your Word promised, when I seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness, all these things shall be added on. I did not wait, I wondered away with what I had, to see what else I could get.

Salvation is a gift. Ephesians 2:8–9 tells me, I am saved by grace through faith, not by works. You have set me free, yet I keep returning to bondages.  I confess I have sinned by squandering what I have not earned.  I am reminded in Luke 15:11–32, Jesus tells the story of the prodigal son. The younger son demanded his inheritance which he never worked for. He went out into the world and squandered it with reckless living.  He returned empty, hopeless and hungry.

Matthew 25:14–30, tells the story of servants who were entrusted with resources belonging to their master. Two invested faithfully, but one buried his talent for whatever fear, and as a result, squandered his opportunity. Every time I chose my own way, over and above what Your Word says, I am squandering blessings You have for me.  By giving into the flesh, Esau traded his unearned birthright.  I confess my actions may be leading me on the same path. Let me not trade my eternal blessings for temporary comfort.

Lord, I confess, I did not always remember Your provisions each time I went into adversity.  I squandered my time by distrusting You. Deliver me from such foolishness.  Your Word says You do not withhold any good thing from those who seek You.  Yet I have sought other means, I have listened to ungodly counsel, walked in the paths of sinners and sat in the seat of mockers to gain temporary pleasure.  This day I pray, deliver me.  But do not just deliver me.  Help me retain my covenant with You.  Your Word says You have plans for me, to prosper me and not to harm me, to give me an expected end.  Unveil those plans. Through Your heart of mercy, lead me back to Your ways and not mine.

Forgive me and help me use what You have entrusted unto me, with wisdom, care and humility. Let me never treat salvation casually. Salvation begins here on earth according to John 17.  Let me not ignore Your Word which I never earned but was freely given.  Let me honour the gifts You have given, and let me not waste time meant for You.  Cause me to live with gratitude, for it cost You, Your son’s life.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen
DEDICATION AND CONSECRATION OF THE CHURCH
We enter Your gates with Thanksgiving, and Your courtyards with praise.  Who is like You Lord, Your majestic power, Your overriding authority and Your great love and mercy, gives us confidence to approach Your throne room boldly. Your Word says, the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. Who may ascend into the mountain of the Most-High?  Those with clean hands and pure hearts.  This day Lord, we ascend to You Father, in Faith, through the power of Your Spirit and the Blood of Jesus Christ, who was made a sacrifice that we may have forgiveness, redemption and reconciliation to You - and for this, we are ever thankful.

This day, we come repenting for Your church.  We confess that many times, the Church, which bears Your Son’s name, did not and do not acknowledge Your power and authority. Many in the body of Christ have walked by sight and overridden the strength of Your Word. We come repenting for Your Church’s lack of judgement, lack of wisdom, and mostly for the lack of love that is dividing Your children.  Father, we ask You to forgive the Church for not making the Word work in power, through being Holy. We repent that the body of Christ has set aside the true power of the Holy Bible, to fulfil their selfish agendas.  We know that Your Word and Spirit hold supernatural influence to effect change over our beloved country.

We repent for the ministries who have defected into Satan’s territories and caused Your sheep to be led astray. We repent for the ministries that are misleading others with personal agendas and self-righteous acts.  We confess that unrighteousness before a Holy God has become shameful. And we ask for Your mercy and forgiveness.

Hear our plea over Your Church. Take away its reproach.  We repent Father, for the evil counsels, fight for power, greed and other lusts that have taken over and is crippling Your House of prayer.  Lord, we come to dedicate the Church in the highest heaven, the throne room of God.

We plead for Your mercy, for we have seen in the Spirit, that according to 1 Peter 4:17, judgement is coming to the House of God.  In wrath remember mercy.  Set Your blood seal upon it and establish Your name thereon once more.

Right now, Father, we release the name of every church, high into Your kingdom.  Your ministries are Your banners, Your flags, Your identity in our country. From the evangelist on the street to mission workers, to church services held in tents, homes, schools, halls, medium buildings and palatial edifices, we are all in relationship with our Sovereign Lord and Saviour King, Jesus Christ. We are Your little lights all through the land.  We thank you Father that as the names of Your church goes up by the Power of Your spirit, Your forgiveness returns, Your mercy restores, and Your Power rules.

Thank You Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
REVIVAL AND SPIRTUAL AWAKENING
Almighty God, Heaven is Your throne room and the earth, Your footstool.  When You stand up, You signal the rising of Your Presence in the earth. Who can bear this dreadful day of the coming of the Lord? Therefore we are thankful that Jesus Christ’s sacrifice made it possible for us to face You. We know that in that day, You are a God who identifies Your own. The Church belongs to Your Son.

We come before You this day, in humility, with surrender.  Our lives are not our own.  To You we belong. Without You, we are nothing. We have no strength, no power, no authority, and no life. But with You there is life and life more abundantly.  Heavenly Father, we pray for revival within our hearts. As Your servant, Anne Lotz who is the daughter of the late Billy Graham, said, revival is when you draw a circle around yourself, and you make sure that everything in that circle is right with God. Today we draw a circle around the Church of Jesus Christ.  Everyone within that circle, must ensure they are right with You.

The Lord Jesus warned five of the seven Churches in the book of Revelations. The Apostle Paul wrote to many Churches, with wisdom, accuracy of what was taking place, and the need for righteousness to return.  We pray that the Church returns wholly unto You as an unblemished Bride.  Your Word says in James 4:8 that if we draw near to You, You will draw near to us. Let the Church return to the teachings of the Bible, without compromise and fear.

Father, send revival to us. Ignite the hearts of Your people and let them know, the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Our country is coming into a place of mayhem, and destruction, and we know that Your Judgement first begins in the house of the Lord.  Create in Your people a fear for the Lord.  We see the terrifying signs both in the skies and in the natural.  Awaken Your people, that they may be saved.

We repent for those who have been called by Your name, yet have become a slave to worldly things.  Many are putting Your Son’s crucifixion of none effect.  Lord, their own works have caused them to be turned over to a reprobate mind. But You, Oh Lord can bring change.  We pray for discernment, understanding, wisdom and obedience.  Show mercy upon us through the Blood of Your Son.  Forgive us Father, arise once more, be our shield, our strong fortress, our strength in times of need.  We repent for our lack of prayer, our floundering relationship with You, our disobedience of Your Word, our failings in fasting, in giving, in perfecting the saints, in being an encouragement to one another.  This has rendered us to walk without power.  Revive us again, O Lord, that Your people may rejoice in You. Breathe fresh life into dry bones. Let Your glory fill Your Church as in the days of old. As You answered by fire and poured out Your Spirit at Pentecost, do it again in our generation. Shake what can be shaken, and establish what cannot be moved, in righteousness. Awaken us from spiritual slumber. Your Word says it is high time to awake out of sleep, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. Stir us to cast off works of darkness and to put on the armour of light. Open the eyes of our understanding, that we may know the hope of our calling and the riches of Your inheritance.

Holy Spirit, take precedence once more.  Let there be repentance, boldness, unity, and holy fear. Add to Your Church daily those who are being saved. Confirm Your Word with power. Let conviction of sin bring transformation. Let teaching be rooted in the apostles’ doctrine.  Ground us deeply in truth. Renew our minds, sanctify our hearts, and conform us to the image of Christ. Help us walk worthy of our calling.  Produce in us the fruit of the Spirit. May we no longer be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

Revive us Oh Lord.  Raise up watchmen who will not be silent. Raise up labourers for the harvest. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Our Father in heaven, In Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore. You are the fountain of Life.  Your mercy, O Lord, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds. Your righteousness is like the great mountains. Your judgments are a great deep. You have set Your glory in the heavens. You are a great God that keeps covenants and mercy for them that love You and observe Your commandments.

Saviour King Jesus, how majestic is Your name in all the earth!  You are the lamp unto our feet, a light onto our paths.  You have shown us the path of life.  Far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, above every name that is invoked, not only in the present but also in the age to come, is the Holy Name of Jesus Christ. Our sovereign Lord, Saviour King, great Redeemer, the Prince of Peace, and the joy of all nations. We belong to You, bought by Your Blood, empowered by the Spirit of the Father.  How excellent is Your Spirit.  Your Word who can challenge?  It is written, the Word of God is like fire, like a hammer that breaks through rocks.  The Word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

Lord, You are the King of kings and the Lord of lords. Yet many have taken their statuses to their heads, not realising that where they are masters, there is a greater Master over them.

Heavenly Father, we acknowledge a solemn warning.  It is written in Psalm 2:12 “Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, And you perish in the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” We come before You with reverence and humility, declaring the eternal truth that Jesus Christ is Lord.  You have highly exalted Him and given Him the name above every name. At His name every knee bows in heaven, on earth, and under the earth and every tongue confesses that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Let that confession not just be on our lips, but rooted deeply in our hearts.  We have come to know that there is no other way to You, except the Lord Jesus Christ.  Lord Jesus, You are the Head of the Church. All things were created through You and for You and without You, nothing was created.

Please forgive us where we have placed other priorities above You. Restore Your pre-eminence among us. Remind us to act on Your Word, morning, noon and night.  Help us to remember the Word stands above all else.  All authority in heaven and on earth belongs to You. Teach us to minister under Your authority, not in our own strength. Remind us that the Church exists for Your glory, not our reputation. Align us in Your perfect will.

Let the Church not be ashamed to proclaim Your Lordship and walk in Your precepts.  Help us to restore holy reverence. Let the fear of the Lord return upon us that we may know to do Your will at all times.

This we pray in Your mighty and sovereign name, the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Amen.
JESUS CHRIST IS LORD
Holy and Sovereign God, the Chief Cornerstone, the Righteous Judge, we are honoured to have You as our God.  You are the all-seeing and all-knowing Lord of the Church. Nothing in us is hidden from You. Every motive, every conversation, every private thought is laid bare before Your throne. Forgive us for daring to approach this calling casually. You have called us to lead Your people as accountable servants.

Father,  through Paul the Apostle, You declared that it is required of stewards that they be found faithful. It is written in Hebrews 10, “Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; with burnt offerings and sin offerings You were not pleased.  Then I said, ‘Here I am, it is written about me in the scroll,
I have come to do your will, my God.”  Lord, we understand that You prepared us to be leaders who will follow in the steps of Jesus Christ, and do Your will.  Let the Body of Christ be prepared for You in what is pleasing to You.  The day of the coming of the Lord is a dreadful one, who can stand it?  We know that the Lord Jesus Christ has already prepared our way, but many there be, that are navigating off the route.

Forgive us if we have not been faithful in Your precepts that are here to guide us, that we may guide Your Church. You commanded that overseers be above reproach, self-controlled, not arrogant, not quarrelsome, not lovers of gain. Search us now. You said we should never do anything out of selfish gain.  If our ambition comes from insecurity, envy, jealousy or even fear, bring us courage, trust and hope once more.

Through the Apostle James, You warned us against partiality. Lord, lead us away from this and let us not take it lightly.  If we have given a greater voice to the wealthy, educated or familiar persons, convict our hearts to know that our temporary actions that have eternal consequences. Lord, if we have overlooked the quiet, the broken, the unseen, cleanse us from such unrighteousness.  Your Son came for a broken world, filled with sin, disease and death.  He went to tombs, showed mercy to Samaritans, cleansed lepers and healed everyone who sought Him.  In Him, there was no partiality.  Deliver us from the sin of treating people differently based on what they can offer us rather than who they are in Christ. Teach us to lead without bias, to judge ourselves before we seek to guide others.

Let us remember the teachings of the apostles and follow through, because they were first ordained by You.  Lord, through Peter, You commanded elders to shepherd willingly, eagerly, not for dishonest gain, not lording authority over those entrusted to them, but being examples to the flock. Lord, have we been examples? Or have we demanded what we do not display? Have we warned the flock to be sober and vigilant while we ourselves have grown complacent? Awaken us. Shake us from spiritual dullness. Remind us that the adversary prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking whom He may devour.  This applies not just to the flock but from the highest order in Your Kingdom to the least.

We give You permission to break our alliances with ego, lusts and other actions that make us hypocrites before a Holy God. We do not own the Church, we are stewards and the way we lead, echoes through the courts of heaven. Let us not be found guilty of trespasses. If we be united, we lead together and shape generations.  But if we be divided, our houses cannot stand. We surrender our will, to walk in Yours wholly, that the Church may rise in supernatural power and effect the change we want to see over our people and our country.  Thank You Lord for answering our prayer in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
LEADERSHIP PRAYER
Our Father, we are most privileged to call on You through the greatest love we will ever know, the love of Jesus Christ.  We come before Your seat of love, forgiveness and mercy, and we come in harmony, in one accord. Your Word says, one shall withstand, two shall prevail and a threefold cord is not easily broken.  Lord, we pray this day, that You might build us together in the Spirit, that we may glorify the name of Jesus Christ and be pleasing unto You.

It is written that none should perish but that all should have ever lasting life.  Who are You, that You are mindful of us, that You have made us a little lower than angels, crowned us with glory, set us apart, made us a royal priesthood, a peculiar nation, a people set apart.  Yet in all that You have done, not even withholding Your own Son Jesus Christ from us, we have drifted from You.  Our disobedience, lack of studies, no meditation, lack of true worship and reverence unto the King of Kings, have brought us into spiritual stagnation, a lethargy that is causing supernatural power through the Church to fail.

It is written, we must meditate day and night that it may go well with us, according to Joshua 1:8.  In Psalm 1 You pronounce a blessing if we do not walk in the counsel of the ungodly, stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers.  Your Word says that the Spirit will come with power and lead us into all truth. But alas our ways into the world have delayed Your promises.

Disobedience, unholiness and false doctrines have kept Your Church from keeping Your commandments, Your statutes, and Your ordinances which You commanded. Your anger over their zeal to work in their own ways, caused You to scatter and break down many houses of prayer.  Too many have closed, others are struggling to survive and what is truly required, is Your power to return.  Now Lord, I ask, because of Your mercy and forgiveness, help them set Your house in order. We come to You in confession and repentance.  Let all that we do, be done decently and in an orderly manner.  Let Your righteousness prevail.  Lift up Your sanctuary once more.  Its foundation testifies of the blood of Jesus Christ.  Today Your Church walls cry out to You for Your grace to once more prevail.

Lord, Your Church is the light of this world. It is a city that cannot be hid. Yet while the Church is well know, the spiritual power it wields is unknown.  Father, create in Your Church, a deeper love for You and for Your Word. As the psalmist declared in Psalms 119:97, “Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.” Give us that same delight in Scripture. Just as young Samuel said, “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening,” teach us to listen attentively and obey faithfully.  Stir in us a hunger and thirst for righteousness, for it is written in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Let us seek the Kingdom first, before we see to do its work. Make us a people whose hearts are truly after You.

We ask that the Church return to the ways of the early believers.  They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer in Acts 2:42.

Make Your people adhere to the warnings and blessings of the seven Churches in revelations, for such change leads to spiritual grow. Let us not be a people who hear the word but do it not. May we stand firm like the Bereans, who searched the scriptures daily to confirm what they were taught.

Grow us both through our teachers and through Your Spirit in us, into maturity, that we may no longer be infants tossed by every wind of doctrine, but that we may grow up into Christ in all things (Ephesians 4:14–15). Let our lives reflect good fruit as we seek You diligently each day.  May our lives echo the words of the apostle Paul: that we may know Christ and the power of His resurrection.  We surrender ourselves to You. Let us do all things unto Your glory. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray.  Amen.
SPIRITUAL GROWTH
UNITY IN THE BODY OF CHRIST
Heavenly Father, and Eternal King,  we humble ourselves before Your mighty powers.  You alone are Sovereign, holding all things accountable and in the direction of Your Word, whether it be good or bad.  There is no place Your Spirit cannot reach, no boundary You cannot tear down, no mountain You cannot move.  The elements of Your creation, though vast and powerful in its own right, does not go against the precepts of Your Word.

We come in reverence as Your Church, the body of Christ, established by the birth, crucifixion and resurrection of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  Alas Father, the church has taken different paths in doctrines, in walking in love, and leading Your people.  Our structures have been weakened by those who preach in envy and or pretence.  The grace given is under threat because of disunity with You.

There are people of discord in holding places of authority in Your House of Prayer, yet Your design was perfect according to Acts 2:42.  Pride, self-preservation in positions and other acts of the flesh and world have separated Your Bride from Christ.  Yet this unity is essential for transformation and healing.  There should be nothing that separates us from the love of Christ, yet a lack of unity is stripping away that which should be rooted in the Word.  It is written in Psalm 133:1, “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!” But even families called by Your name have become divided through hardened hearts.  Lord, let the Church gather at this Altar, You have mandated. Convict the hearts of Your people to walk in love for their days are numbered and every one is to give an account for their works.  Ecclesiastes 4: 9-12 advises us that two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labour.  One may withstand, two shall prevail and a threefold cord is not easily broken.  Again, You remind us in Matthew 18:19-20 that if two us agree on earth concerning anything, it will be done for us by our Father in heaven.  You further tell us where two or three are gathered in My name, You are in our midst.  What more do we need, to effect the power of heaven here on earth?

Lord we pray according to Acts 1:14, let us continue in one accord, in prayer and supplication, that we may cause the power of Acts 2:1 could erupt through an outpouring of Your Spirit Unity preceded the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Father and Lord Jesus, we pray this day, cause us to believe together and be of one heart and soul.  Help us make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.  Let us be as the Apostle Paul desired, in 1 Corinthians 1:10, that we all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among us.  For in so doing, it will be a joy to those who are called to lead us.  All desire that we must have the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. For if we do these things, nothing that we seek You for, shall be withheld from us. This we pray in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Father in Heaven, Our blessed Lord Jesus Christ, how great are You.  Mighty in every way. You are a covenant keeping God. The great I am who parted the seas, rained manna from the heavens, brought water from the rock and showed forth Your great exploits. Your Works have not ceased.

Lord we come before Your Holy Presence, grateful for Your Spirit with whom we are one.

And we pray unto You, the Eternal Provider who makes a way through the wildernesses and streams through the deserts. Your Word says, call unto Me in the day of trouble and I will deliver you and you will glorify Me. Father, we are in troubling times.  And we ask that like the Lord revealed in the parable of the denari how You provided employment to everyone who stood around idle, that You do it again. Your Word reveals that people are called to work.  They ought to put their hands to the plough. In Your Word we find farmers, carpenters, tentmakers, tax collectors, business men and women and so many other forms of employment.  Some created their own employment, some worked for others.  There were those who worked in government and then there were people called to work in the temple of God.  Whatever they did, Lord they worked.

We ask this day for help in creating employment. We have skilled and unskilled, graduates and under-educated, we have talent and we have those who do not understand their purpose. One thing is common.  They need work. And so we pray.

Bring Your favour upon us and establish the work of our hands; yes, establish the work of our hands.  You Oh Lord bless the righteous,  You cover us with favour as with a shield.

Lord You are a sun and shield; you bestow favour and honour. No good thing do you withhold from those who walk uprightly.  Cause us to walk uprightly that we obtain all good things that You have for us.

Father we pray for resources to those who have ideas to create employment.  We pray for those who have skill to undertake, those who are talented, and even those who need any form of employment to get by.  As we meditate on the Word for help to overcome the jobless market, we know, that You are a God who must be glorified in all things.  Therefore, we say, we will remember the Lord our God, for it is He who gives us the power to create wealth, that He may establish His covenant with us. Lord, we declare that we will be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then You will make our way prosperous, and we shall have good success.

Let it be so, that You will arise and show favour upon us, let it be so that the appointed time has come.  And we shall say, it is unto Your Glory that we are strengthened in this area of our lives, and by Your Favour, our horn is exalted.

You are our God of hope who fills us with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit we may abound in hope.  We thank you Father for the abundance of grace and the free gift of righteousness that reigns in our lives through Your son Jesus Christ. You make all grace abound to us, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, we may abound in every good work

REPENTANCE FOR BLAMING GOVERNMENT FOR LACK OF PRAYER IN  SCHOOLS
Prayer of repentance
Govt does not need to bring the Bible back to schools

Our Father in Heaven, and our Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, we come to thank You for Your revelation through Your Holy Spirit.  You are not confused. Your Word stands from everlasting to everlasting.  You rule over all things.
It is written in Daniel 2:21 that You change times and seasons; You removes kings and set up kings.”  Thank You for sharing Your wisdom and giving us understanding.   Your Word declares, “The secret things belong to the Lord our God, but the things revealed belong to us and to our children forever.” (Deuteronomy 29:29). 1 John 4:8 says God is love. Thank You for showing us this great love.

We come repenting over blaming the state of our children and educational institutes to the removal of Bible based prayer in the education sector.  Your Word does not prove that You assigned governments the task of raising children in Your Word. We repent for shouting at governments while neglecting our own altars at home. The Bible does not instruct secular governments to enforce worship in schools.

We repent for blaming schools while prayer disappeared from our dining tables.
We repent for demanding public devotion while private discipleship diminished.  Your Word commands us in Deuteronomy 6:6-7 to teach our children diligently.  You said to parents
“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6).  Father, we repent for misplacing responsibility.  The Word states in Luke 6:45 For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.”  If children are filled with Your Word at home, they will speak of You in classrooms. If they are filled with truth at home, they will carry truth where ever they go.  What grows in the heart cannot be replaced by policy.  Lord, awaken parents.  It is written in Ephesians 6:4, “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.” We repent for fathers who have not done their duties.

We pray that You will remind parents to restore prayer altars at home because it is the duty of the household to serve the Lord.   By our government introducing the practise of any religion, without imposition of any faith, you are calling us back to Your Word.  Back to responsibility. Back to obedience.  Deuteronomy 6:6-7 is a command to us. It is written, "And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise.”

Lord, help us to do this that we may live in Your commands.  We confess, revival does not begin in parliaments or lecture halls, it begins at home.  When homes are lit up with Your presence, nothing can extinguish the flames of power that comes with it. Today we commit t answering this call in the name, Most High, Jesus Christ.  Amen.
HOLY BIBLE
Thanksgiving for the Holy Bible

Heavenly Father, and Saviour King, what a wonderful sight we behold in all the earth, as we daily witness Your glory all around us. We would know nothing of its power if not for Your Word that came to us.  This day we come with thanksgiving for the Holy Bible.  How grateful we are, that our country has given us the privilege of understanding Your Kingdom through this astonishing book.

There is something mysterious and beautiful that happens when the Word of God comes to us. It is difficult to explain yet we know it is real.  Our hearts become quiet, the mind is stilled, and a deep peace settles within us. A joy rises that does not depend on circumstances.  There is a gladness that seems to come from somewhere beyond ourselves. It is as if the soul recognizes the voice of its Creator. Fear loosens its grip, confusion fades, and hope quietly takes its place. The world around us may remain the same, yet within us something shifts. Lord, You have given us Your Word that is limitless.  Let Your people know that this Book is never to remain on shelves for a once-a-week church trip.  It contains treasures and power far beyond human comprehension. It answers every question, provides solutions, brings peace and comfort. It connects us to Your Kingdom like no other literature. When God speaks through His Word, life, light, and comfort enter the human heart in a way that surpasses explanation.

When Your truth comes to us, a quiet peace settles within, and fears lose their power.  In those moments we recognize that Your Word is alive, carrying Your presence, Your comfort, and Your truth directly into our hearts. It is inexplicable.  This calm steadies us, and the light fills us from within. We thank You with all our hearts for the Holy Bible. Father, we bless You. We bless the Lord Jesus Christ ,and we bless Your Spirit within us that keeps us in one accord with You. Amen
GOD
Thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus Christ

Saviour King, for centuries before hand, prophets spoke about Your coming. They predicted Your death, and wrote of Your resurrection. Then You came. Your disciples came from different backgrounds of education, careers, and livelihoods, but they all converged on one truth. You are the Son of God.  You are the Saviour who laid down Your life for sinners to be reconciled to our Father in Heaven. You are the Lord Jesus Christ who made ordinary people receive the privilege of being children of God (John 1:12).  You brought heaven to us.

We come to give thanks of the highest order to our Father in Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ and the blessed Holy Spirit for this gift of salvation that joined us back to heaven. We have done nothing to earn it, yet You saw it fit to reconcile us to You.

As we get to know more of You, we cannot deny the miracles that come from Heaven.  Your signs and wonders, prove Your very existence. History can never erase You for You are an ever-present God. Our God did not come to condemn the World, but that the World through Him might be saved.  You have given us free forgiveness from sin.  The gift of eternal life is beyond our ability to comprehend who You truly are. We are thankful. You are an extraordinary Lord. You are absolute. You are sovereign.

To the Lord Jesus Christ, thank You for teaching us to live pure and holy lives.  Thank You for showing us how to obey parents.  And thank You for never wavering from the path of the will of God when You came to earth.  Your Word makes Christianity an extraordinary faith. All evidence points to Yourself as a divine being from the time of Your birth, to Your death and resurrection.  People who thought to deride You have bowed down.

While many may condemn the lifestyles of those who claim to follow the faith, none can tarnish the image of our Lord, Jesus Christ. You led a pristine life.  No other individual has ever prompted such honour.   Bible authors reveal Your life as impeccable, Your teachings, unrivalled, and the fulfilment of prophetic voices from Genesis to Malachi, undeniable.  Lord Jesus, You surpass traditional beliefs and worldly wisdom. Those who denied You when You walked the earth, found themselves at the receiving end of judgements.  Others have found unexplainable miracles taking place.

Your servant Reinhard Bonnke who is no longer with us, revealed how conviction led people to their greatest deliverances. Where science and medicine failed, the name of the Lord brought healing. Where aid could not be reached, faith activated multiplication. Knowing this God, and having Him work in us, is the difference between life and death. People around the world claim sightings of You, dreams and visions.  You bring hope, and with it answers.

People from different backgrounds, with hurts and fears, and facing unimaginable struggles, have claimed to find Jesus as the God of love, mercy and goodness. The gospel presents a message of freedom for those in bondage, It opens our eyes to the things of God, and brings us the grace that assures us there is an end of time where eternity awaits. It is in Him that we find it all. Christianity changes people’s hearts. It brings a spiritual transformation. The rebirth is real. The change it brings is impossible to explain, the peace transcends understanding.

Christianity brings renewed hope, reaching out to the broken, aching heart, with a message that links each one to God, through whom all things become possible. My prayer could go on because You have been nothing short of astonishing to me. Thank You Lord Jesus, my sovereign Lord and Saviour King.  Amen.
FAMILY
Family & Loved Ones

Almighty Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ, we come to thank You today. Our hearts are filled with gratitude for placing us in a family which loves God.  In Your infinite wisdom You established families as a sacred institution of humanity. You did not intend for us to walk this earth alone, but in Your goodness, You wove us together in a tapestry of love, heritage, and belonging. We come to thank You for the parents we have. We are reminded about the Apostle Paul who wrote to a young Timothy, telling him that he is carrying forth the legacy of his mum, and granny who were praying people. Thank You for blessing our home which follows Your Word.

We thank You for siblings with whom we share a bond that cannot be broken because You are central to our relationship.  As we reflect on Your Word, we find Your faithfulness in our lives today.  Our family’s heritage and sincere faith is being passed down through generations, that we may remain a steadfast vessel for Your Truth.  This is the same as 2 Timothy 1:15. It tells us that we are on the right path.

Lord, I am inspired by the story of Ruth and Naomi, showing us that family is built on loyalty and kindness.  Even if there is one rebel in the family, the love that binds us is so strong, that the return of the rebel reflects Your teachings in the prodigal son.

I thank You Lord, for keeping our family close-knit, bound in love by Your Word. Thank You for Your provision, Your protection.  For being a shield around us.  We are as a family found in Psalm 128, which tells of laughter of the children and the wisdom of the elderly.  May our homes remain sanctuaries of peace. May our words be edifying and our actions be rooted in the selfless love of Christ. We commit our family into Your hands, trusting that the work You have started in us, will be brought to completion. This we pray in the holy and precious name of Jesus Christ, Amen
TEACHERS AND LEADERS
Teachers or guides

Holy Redeemer, Prince of Peace, everlasting Father, we come with thanksgiving and praises for leading us through Your Spirit into all Truth.  The Lord, Himself shaped our destinies in gentle ways that brought us into a path of everlasting Life.

Our hearts of full of reverence for Your perfect ways.  Your Word is filled with treasures of wisdom to help us in our daily lives while we are here on earth.  We come before You, acknowledging Your infinite knowledge and perfect design for the world.

Thank You for raising up leaders and teachers from the beginning, that we may know You and abound in Your goodness. You did not leave man to walk through life alone or without direction. Instead, You raised up faithful leaders, teachers, and disciples who would guide us in truth, righteousness, and faith. Lord, we thank You for this divine plan.  The leadership and teachers You send, are not built on power or status, but on service, humility, and obedience to Your will. While some may preach in envy and some in pretence, there are many who are truly after Your heart, and intent on leaving a legacy of Your Word.

We are grateful for the men and women You called throughout Scripture, who did more than simply teach and lead us.  Moses, Elijah, Elisha, Enoch, Esther, Ruth, and others proved the power of choosing God’s ways.  In the New Testament, besides the Lord Jesus Christ, we find disciples and apostles that are simply shocking in their vocations.  They came from different backgrounds, but they shared a common belief. Jesus Christ was the Son of God who pointed the way to heaven.

We also have other leaders and teachers to be thankful for.  In educational institutes, communities, hospitals, counselling groups and more. We come to Thank You for raising them up to care and show love.

We thank You, Father, for sending such devoted people who shape our lives in positive ways.  Help us to remember them in our prayer.  Bless them with wisdom, strength, and perseverance as they continue their calling.  Help us, Lord, to learn from their examples and to reflect the same spirit of service and faithfulness in our own lives. May we not only hear from them, but remind us to live in their good counsel and guidance. We give You all glory and thanks for Your perfect wisdom, and for the faithful leaders You have given to guide Your people.

In Jesus’ name we pray.  Amen.
FRIENDS
Father, I come before You, with my heart overflowing with gratitude.  Through Your Word of of counsel, You have shown me the paths of life with friends.

You have wisdom that cannot be surpassed. I could never know the depths of friendships had it not been for my Saviour,  Jesus Christ.

This day, I lift up praises to You, for Your sovereign Hand removed that which was to defile me, and brought onto a path of believers, who are friends that stick closer than a brother.

My social circle has been nothing short of a walk of purity, loving kindness, and mercy through friends who stand with me in all seasons. You are a God who sees what I cannot see, a God who hears what I cannot hear, and You have seen traps that I was too blind to notice. Thank You for removing these traps called friendships from me.

I praise You for every door You closed and every bridge You allowed to burn. Haman was ill-advised by his friends in Esther 5.  He perished and so did they.  Thank You Lord for silencing the voices of friends in my life that sought to lead me into malice or worldly ambition, that would have brought destruction to another without cause.

Thank You for protecting my mind from the counsel of the ungodly (Psalm 1:1) and for removing me when I sat in the seat of the scornful.

Now, my heart rejoices at whom I call my circle of friends. Those who have given me beauty for ashes, for they walk in Your image. Thank You for those who walk with me through the seasons like You do. Thank You for those who are like Jonathan in the Bible, who sought not status even though his father was king.  He chose to save David’s life, at the risk of the throne. Father thank You for friends who put lives before status and riches.

I am deeply grateful that my inner circle is no longer a place of confusion, but a sanctuary of agreement. Thank You for the "Aarons and Hurs" who lift up my arms when I am weary (Exodus 17:12) and for the "Barnabas’" who see the grace of God upon me and encourage me to remain true to the Lord. I stand today in the peace of Your presence, thanking You for friends who remain true to You, because it means that they remain true to me. I honour You for the peace that comes from walking with the wise.  In Jesus Name I bless You. Amen
SPIRITUAL CIRCLE AND CHURCH
My Father, my Father, let my thanksgiving echo through the heavens for what You have done.  Your grace found me empty handed but alive in Your hands.  Had it not been for the Lord Jesus Christ, my life would have been in tatters.  My thanksgiving today comes for the deep gratitude I feel over the spiritual circle You wove around me.

You have proven that there is power in multitudes, but then there is also power in agreement, no matter how small.  Thank You to the Lord Jesus Christ who broke the ways of sight that disproved power lies with the gifted, or the multitudes.  It is written where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are there in the midst of them - Matthew 18:20.

Thank You for teaching me that Your power to work in my life is not just in the midst of crowds, but released through the alignment of hearts. I praise You for proving that the spiritual weight of a faithful, people, outweighs the noise of many.

Just as You were with Jonathan and David, binding their souls together in a covenant of strength in 1 Samuel 18:1, You have graced my life with a church / spiritual circle who carry Your fire. Thank You this spiritual circle who prays with me in secret that I may be blessed openly by You, Father.

I am comforted that this spiritual circle impacts my life in ways I cannot explain. They have been the strength I needed in times of troubles and calamities.  You have made real, the impact of Your Word found in Ecclesiastes 4:12, which reminds me that a threefold cord is not quickly broken. I have courage with this circle of prayer intercessors.  It is through their steadfast commitment to You, that I am no longer confined to the limitations of this world; instead, I am anchored in the truth that Your strength is made perfect in weakness according to 2 Corinthians 12:9.    I bless You for them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
THANKSGIVING TO THE REMNANT
Majestic Father, how great it is to know You through the Lord Jesus Christ.  The heavens declare Your glory, the skies proclaim the work of Your hands.  Your wisdom is beyond measure. Your greatness none can fathom. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Your most perfect Son, the Lord Jesus Christ.

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace.”

This day we come with thanksgiving before a Holy God.  Lord, we just want to thank You for stirring the hearts of those who hope in a beautiful and peaceful country.  We come to say thank You for those who are quietly building broken walls and lives around them. We come to thank You for those who are secretly seeking You.  For those who are hearing and watching the dilapidation of our country, and weeping before You.  Thank You for those who are fasting and praying before the God of the heavens and earth.  We pray that You will convict more hearts like these, hearts that grieve over this country in ruins.  Hearts that desire to seek Your wisdom, counsel and aid for such a time as this.  Let none be afraid of the scoffing of the world, like that which was done to Noah.  He built anyway, and they perished.

Cause us to walk in submission like Abraham, who left those familiar to him, to fulfil the will of God.  Raise up Ezras who desire to restore Your Word among Your people, in truth and power.  Set mindsets steadfastly in You just like You did with Joshua and Caleb, that nothing and no one shall shake them.  And above all, let people discern Your true apostles, for in them lie the wisdom and understanding, the will and power, the grace and leadership to build lives and communities.

Father, we pray for all those whom You are stirring up…  parents, teachers, leaders, and believers, to rise as Your rebuilders today.  Bring this Word to pass… “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” (Isaiah 43:19)

Lord, make us faithful stewards of all You have entrusted to us. Let what we plant in hearts, homes, and communities overflow into every place we go. May our lives reflect Your glory and Your purposes. This we pray in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen
PERSONAL BLESSINGS
Sovereign Lord and Most Gracious Father, thank You for Your Spirit that brings me into Your Presence. I am reminded that I have this privilege of being called a child of God, only because Jesus Christ made it possible.  You have indeed blessed me with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, according to Ephesians 1:3.

This day, I come to give thanks for the life You have given me.  You have blessed me above and beyond what I deserve.  My sins are forgiven and this redemption brings me into the dwelling of God where I may be kept under the shadow of Your wings.

What a wonder it is to know that I am surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, and that through Christ I come, to the city of the living God, to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly, to Jesus Christ, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the sprinkled blood that speaks a better word for me, (Hebrews 12). How shall I say Thank You in just two words?  Therefore, my whole life praises You.

I come to say thank You for the gift of life.  Thank You for restoring my health and healing my wounds. Thank You for strengthening me.  Thank You for calming my mind.  Thank You for renewing my Spirit.  Thank You that I have a roof above me, food on my table and shoes on my feet.  I acknowledge that every provision comes from Your hand. You open Your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing.

You have kept me this far, and You shall keep Your covenant of peace and protection over my life as long as I dwell with You. Thank You for watching over my coming and going.  Your Word says You command angels concerning me.
I want to also say thank You for the talents You have given me.  Let me not lose them through envy or other malice.  Your Word says that if anyone lacks wisdom, they should ask You, for You give generously. Fill me with wisdom, let my heart seek You that I may grow in knowledge and faith.

And now as I bless You for blessing me in my personal life, help me run the race set before me with perseverance, trusting in Jesus, the author and finisher of my faith. This I pray in the matchless name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
NEIGHBOURS
Our Father in Heaven, the Lord Jesus Christ, and the blessed Holy Spirit, I come to give thanks, for great is Your power, goodness and mercy.  Had it not been for the Lord Jesus who brought the Kingdom of Heaven to earth, to show us the way to eternal life, we would be living in darkness that leads to sheol.

Creator of the heavens and the earth, the Giver of every good and perfect gift, I come before You with a heart overflowing with thanksgiving. I thank You for Your mercy that is new every morning, and for the gift of salvation through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Your Word says, “Give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good: for His mercy endures for ever.” (Psalm 107:1). Today I lift my voice in gratitude for Your goodness, Your faithfulness, and Your unfailing love.

Lord, thank You for teaching us through King Jesus, what it truly means to love our neighbour. When the lawyer asked Him, “And who is my neighbour?” You answered through the parable of the Good Samaritan. In that story You showed us that a neighbour is not merely someone who lives near us, but anyone who shows mercy, compassion, and kindness (Luke 10:29–37). You revealed that true neighbours are found along our journeys.  They cross boundaries, help the wounded, and reflect Your love through their actions.

Father, we thank You that Your Word shows us many examples of neighbours who acted with faith and compassion. Rahab welcomed the spies and protected them when their lives were in danger. Because of her courage and kindness, You remembered her and her household. As it is written, “By faith the harlot Rahab perished not with them that believed not, when she had received the spies with peace,” (Hebrews 11:31).

We also remember the widow of Zarephath who cared for Your prophet in her time of lack, and You rewarded her faith by sustaining her household (1 Kings 17:10–16). We remember the Shunammite woman who showed kindness to Elisha and was blessed with a miracle (2 Kings 4:8–17). Through these stories You show us that those who care for others become vessels of Your blessing. Your Word tells us, these are our neighbours.  And it proves that being a blessing to neighbours, come with rewards from Heaven.

Father, we believe that every act of compassion, every kindness shown to another, and every sacrifice made in love, in a neighbourly act is seen by You.  As Jesus said, “In as much as you have done it unto one of the least of these, my brethren, you have done it unto me,” (Matthew 25:40).

Lord, shape our hearts so that we may be true neighbours, people who care beyond borders, who serve without expecting reward, and who reflect Your compassion in a hurting world. Help us to live the commandment of Christ, we shall love our neighbours as ourselves which is found in Mark 12:31. Let our lives become testimonies of Your love.

Today, we thank You because You are a just God who sees every good deed done in faith. Your Word assures us that nothing is done in vain before You, (Hebrews 6:10). Therefore, strengthen us to continue doing good, knowing that in due season we will reap if we do not grow weary (Galatians 6:9).  We give You all the glory, honour, and thanksgiving, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Sovereign Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth.  The heavens declare Your glory; the moon and stars are the work of Your hands. Your Word goes forth and accomplishes that to which it is sent. It never returns void to You. It is written in Philippians 4:6 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

We confess Father, that spiritual wickedness in high places have at times, caused us to tremble. Many there be, that want to see the destruction of the Church.  Like in Nehemiah’s time, Sanballat and Thobias sought to stop the work of the Lord, there are those who are causing hindrances that the gospel may be delayed.

We pray this day, let us remember, the Word of the Lord that watches over all mankind.

It is the Lord who keeps watch or else the watchmen watch in vain.  We ask for Your angelic armies to guard our ministries. Send us help from the Your throne room. Cause those who are like Sanballat’s and Thobias to cease from their wicked plans.

You have given us the power of life and death in our tongues.  Therefore we will say, the Lord is our refuge and fortress, Our God; in Him will we trust. Though at times we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we fear no evil, for our God is with us.

Where fear takes precedence over Faith, let us be reminded that Isaiah 41:10 tells us to fear not, for God is with us.  The Lord says, be not dismayed, for He is our God, He will strengthen us and help us. He will uphold us with the right hand of His righteousness. And therefore, according to Isaiah 54:17, “No weapon that is formed against us shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rises against us in judgment we will condemn, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord and our righteousness is of the LORD.

Now Lord, let it be pleasing according to 2 Thessalonians 3:3, that You establish us once more and keep us from evil.  Preserve us through Your Word in Psalm 121.  Keep watch over us, in our going out and in our coming in. Let Your Angel encamp around us for we fear You.  And above all, cause us to meditate upon You day and night that it may go well with us.  This we pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
PROTECTION FOR THE CHURCH
Vine Virtue
Root of Satan’s deception

Heavenly Father, Almighty God, Sovereign Lord of all creation, I am thankful for Your Word which brings me secrets of Satan’s ways.  John 3:16 tells me that You so loved the world that You gave Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever will believe in Him, will not perish but have eternal life.

Let me stay in the Word of Christ, that I may keep my salvation with trembling and fear.

With a heart of gratitude I come to say thank You, O God, for Your Word.  It is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my path. The hidden snares and subtle deceptions of the enemy is so easy to miss.  It is important that I understand how You led people through incidents that are now here to teach me.

Your wisdom is marvellous.  Who can fathom it?  In the very first book of the Holy Bible, You have made known to me how Satan can deceive me. With my natural mind and heart, I would never know this grand lesson from Eve.  I exalt You for this story.  You were Adam’s covering. You instructed Him not to eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. While he passed the message over to Eve who was under his covering.  The moment she stepped away from Adam’s covering, she fell into sin, and so did he.

It tells me that if I step out of Divine protection, Satan will surely approach. Eve stepped outside that divine protection, and the enemy found an entry point to sow deception. Lord, teach me through this account to remain steadfast in Your presence, walking continually under Your covering, seeking Your counsel in every step, so that I am not misled by subtle lies or clever manipulations. It is written in Proverbs 18:10 that the name of the Lord is a strong tower, the righteous run in and are safe.  Again in the famous Psalm 91, it is required that if I want Your protection, I must dwell in the secret place of the Most High.

I thank You for Your wisdom that teaches me how to avoid the traps of Satan, that can lead me to sin and loss of salvation. You have given me the gift of discernment, for opening my eyes to spiritual realities, and for showing me the importance of abiding in You. May I  never underestimate the cunning ways of the enemy, but let me always cling to Your Word and walk in its ways.

I pray this in the name of Jesus Christ, my Saviour forever.  Amen.
Deceived by Satan
Almighty and Holy God, Sovereign Lord of heaven and earth, I come before You with my heart in awe of Your majestic power.  When I look at Your glory all around me, I am struck by its magnificence and workings.  You are a God whose perfection supercedes all glories of this world.

Lord, I acknowledge that You are not mocked, that every vow, every promise made to You carries eternal weight.  It is written, God is not man that He should lie. I have come to learn that I am made in Your image, therefore I must uphold truth at all times.  You take my words, my heart, and my integrity very seriously.

Father, I remember the sobering example of Ananias and Sapphira, who spoke with deceit.  They declared to children of God that upon sale of their property, the entire funds were to be given to the temple of God. It is not that You want people’s wealth.  The Earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof. You own the silver and the gold.  The cattle on a thousand hills is Yours. There is nothing You desire except a heart of truth.

Lord, I thank You for revealing to us that this couple perished because they made a vow and did not keep it. It was the gravity of their dishonesty that led them to their deaths.

Almighty God, if there is anytime I made a commitment to a child of God that I will sow into the Kingdom of God, and have not done so, please bring this to remembrance that I may honour my word.  Let me never presume that my word to You can be taken lightly for I will be called to give an account.

Please forgive me for any time that I failed to honour my promise, acted in deceit and remained ignorant of my ways, thinking that since all is well, I am absolved from the responsibility of my words of promise.

I understand that dishonouring what I have pledged leads me to a path of death that none can stop.

This day I ask that You may forgive me, cleanse me and close this spiritual gate of darkness I through my own self, have opened.  God of mercy, strengthen me to live in complete honesty before You; to keep the sacred commitments of my heart, and to walk fully under Your Spirit’s guidance. Watch over my ways that I may remain faithful to the vows I make in Your holy presence. Protect me, Lord, from the subtle snares of the enemy, from the pride that tempts me to deceive, and from the compromise that brings danger to my soul.

I glorify You, Lord, for Your holiness, Your justice, and Your unwavering truth. Thank You for warning me and allowing me time to make restitution while I am here on earth. I pray that You will strengthen me to honour every vow, walk in truth, and remain steadfast under Your holy covering.  I bless You for directing my steps that I may walk in the fear of the Lord, all the days of my life, that I may forever dwell in His presence, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen
Unfulfilled Vows
Heavenly Father, it is written in Psalm 19:1: “the heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands.”  What splendours You have set before me, the sun, the moon and stars, the storehouses of hail and snow, the earth and all that is within it, precious stones and metals underneath the earth, the seas with its abundance of Your creation – all for me to behold, the glory of Your presence.

If that is not enough, You have given me Your precious Son, Jesus Christ, that I may be called a Child of God.  Father, I ask that You may forgive me for abusing Matthew 5:16 which says, “Let your light shine before others, that they may see my good deeds.”  I did not go further to acknowledge the balance of the scripture, that says, “and glorify your Father in heaven.”

Father, I have come to understand that success comes from Your hand. In my ways, just like King David, I have been deceived into thinking it is my hard work and discipline that has brought me here.  None has given glory to the Father for my success.  Instead they see me as a high achiever.  Lord, what I have perceived as my own efforts, and hard work is nothing compared to what You have produced for me in this Kingdom on earth.  When I look at myself, placed next to the glory of God, even my greatest accomplishments are small and fleeting. They are not the source of light; they are reflections of it.

Jesus’ words in Matthew 5:16 are often misunderstood. When He calls us to let our light shine, it is not an invitation to draw attention to ourselves, but a command to live in such a way that others are led past us, to the Father. The light was never meant to end with us.

In a world where people are quick to claim credit, build their own names, and receive praise as if it belongs to them, let me be careful not to confuse visibility with glory. My life is not meant to magnify me, but to point unmistakably to God. Every gift, every opportunity, every success is given so that He may be seen more clearly. Father, I pray not that my life might shine in achievements I attribute to myself, but that You may be glorified.  Thank You Father, for reminding me to acknowledge with gratitude, that every blessing, every success, and every opportunity comes from Your hand. Set a guard over my mouth, LORD; keep watch over the door of my lips when I want to proclaim in my own pride what I have done.

Remind me of David's census as his nation grew under his leadership and pride arose.  It is written, God gives increase. Help me remember King Uzziah's pride that caused him to go against God’s Word.  He ended up with leprosy and lived in isolation until death.  And may I never forget Nebuchadnezzar's humbling to that of an animal for 7 whole years. There were many more who suffered consequences as a result of this.  Therefore in my life I say, take glory Father, take glory Son, take glory Holy Ghost, now and forever more. May everything I achieve, point back to You. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
Provoked to Pride
Sovereign Lord, Jesus Christ, and my Father in heaven. It is written in Psalm 50:10-12 that every animal of the forest is Yours, even the cattle on a thousand hills. You know every bird in the mountains, and the creatures of the field belong to You.  If You were hungry, You would not seek me, for the world is Yours and all that is in it.

Haggai 2:8 declares that the silver and gold are Yours.  And what I give to You, according to 1 Chronicles 29:14, comes from Your hands too.

Your Word reminds me that to the Lord belongs the heavens, even the highest heavens, the earth and everything in it.  And so today, I am reminded, You cannot be bought. As I bring my prayer before You, I marvel that people tried to use money to get ahead in the Kingdom of Heaven. I say to the Lord, You are my Lord; apart from You, I have no good thing. No money, or anything of material that is better than You. Unless Your Word comes to pass, which says, You give us power to create wealth, I can produce nothing.  Our giving to You demonstrates gratitude for what You have given to us. Please forgive me if it has entered my heart that I could buy power like Simon the Socerer did, and was rebuked. How many who are rich are buying pulpit space, statuses in the church, yet they are not walking in holiness despite being in leadership. Simon was rejected from the Kingdom over his attempts to gain the power of God with money.

Lord, even Gehazi sought to get money out of Namaan and You proved that nothing is hid from You. He was given leprosy.  How easily someone can take what is not supposed to be taken and inherit the transfer of spirits upon their own lives.  Balaam too, pursued reward over obedience and lost dominion over God’s creation, as well as spiritual visions.

Judas sold the Lord out and he committed suicide. Leaders in the book of Micah were condemned. This tells me that money will not buy You, and that obtaining illicit things through it, will have its reward.  The lady in Proverbs 7 who paid her dues in church and decided she could do as she pleased thereafter, committed adultery and led the youth to death. What shall it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul even if he sits in the church. Remind me Lord, whenever I feel money can be used to buy the things of God without holiness. I pray I will be kept from this way of thinking, that I may be a true child of God, giving to the Kingdom with a cheerful heart, and not for selfish gain.  I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Can money talk to God?
Father it is written, do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.  My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and give praise. Awake, my glory!  I will awaken the dawn. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised.

I come this day, to the Shepherd of my soul, praying that I may not be swayed by false doctrines.  I pray that I may have discernment to know when anyone manipulates scripture for selfish ends. Father I pray that those whom I listen to for the increase of my faith, will keep their tongues from evil and their lips from speaking lies.   I do not want to be subject to false doctrines that will not profit my soul. You are a God who can put words into mouths and they shall speak as You intend.  Let me not be under the umbrella of those who will use scripture to entice people for personal gain.

Lord, You have issued a warning.  You said for the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;  You said, they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.  Lord, let me not be amongst such congregants for I desire to hear the fullness of Your Word that I may know the Kingdom of Heaven.

I pray that You would turn Your face away from false teachers and prophets for they privily bring in damnable heresies. It is written that we should be aware of such a kind for they come in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves, who spare not the flocks but speak perverse things to draw disciples away after them.  Teach me Your Word, lead me into all truth that I may be bound by sound doctrine both to exhort and to convince the gainsayers. Help me test and try the spirits whether they are of God, that I may prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.  And I will praise You Oh Lord, among the people in Jesus Mighty Name.  Amen.
False Doctrines
My Father, My Father, into Your glorious presence I come, humbling myself in reverence and honour to You. Your hidden power emanates through Your Word, and the effect of this power comes to the earth, through Your precious Holy Spirit in me.

Your love is indescribable, mysterious, confounding. A Father who would give His only begotten Son Jesus Christ to save us?  And a Son whose love emulates the Father that He would willingly, without doubt, lay down His life to experience pain of the highest degree just to reconcile me to You.

It is written every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. Gifts are given for the edification of the church, for Your people, for all of Your creation.  Yet, amongst the gift of prophesy, a certain group of prophets have walked astray.  They found a loophole in the system and gladly use it to lead others astray.

They have understood that the gifts and callings are without repentance, and they have used this Word, to walk in unholiness, in compromise, in sin yet continued in their gifts and callings. But Lord, the problem does not lie with them.  It is me. And I pray today for Your help and guidance.  I understand that their deceptions may come through a spiritual door, I keep open.

It is when I lean unto my own understanding on how matters should turn out, I can easily be swayed into hearing what I want to hear. Again, You warn in  Jeremiah 17:9, “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” When I want my own way, I am susceptible to this kind.  King Ahab did the same. He was deceived by 400 prophets because he rejected God’s chosen Michaiah.  Yet this prophet brought warning that death would follow if the King believed the 400 prophets.

Lord, I understand 2 Timothy 4:3–4 that says, “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.” And again in Matthew 7:15–16, You warn, “Beware of false prophets… Ye shall know them by their fruits.” Therefore I pray, let me not want my own way, because it makes me vulnerable to deception. I can believe easily believe false prophets if I am set on my own desires and they confirm it as God’s will.  Father, I understand that Proverbs 14:12 which says there is a way which seems right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Let this not be my portion but Your Word be a lamp onto my feet and light unto my path, that I may see the goodness of the Lord, all the days of my life. This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
False Prophets
Lord of the heavens and the earth, enthroned on High, that Your eyes may behold the glory upon Your children.  I embrace Your love.  You are my Father who has not withheld the sacred reconciliation of me to You.  You are indeed the God of all. There is none beside you.  My hope clings to Your promise.

As I kneel before You in humility and reverence, lifting Your name above all else, I thank You for the Lord Jesus Christ, who made it possible to bring me back into Your Holy Presence.  You are holy, righteous, and full of truth. There is none like You.  Your Word stands firm forever, and Your wisdom is infinite. I magnify You, O Lord, for You are faithful in all Your ways, and just in all Your works.

This day I pray, that if there be any part of me that rejects Your Word, turn my heart back to it. I am reminded about Adam and Eve in Genesis 3 who took ungodly counsel from the serpent. They went into poverty and toiling, with thorns upon their ground.  They also lost salvation. In Exodus 5:14, Pharoah refused to let the children of God leave, preferring to hold them in bondage.  His country suffered devastation through plagues, and thereafter his army perished. It tells me that anyone who keeps captive children of God through any means will reap devastation to the end.  Even the Israelites in the wilderness in Numbers 13-14 doubted God and did not enter the promised land.  King Saul in 1 Samuel 15 was commanded to completely destroy the Amalekites, but he partially obeyed and kept the spoils. He was rejected by God to remain a king.  His kingdom was taken and given to David.

Ahab and Jezebel fell into destruction by promoting idol worship and hating God’s chosen, Elijah.  Rejection of God’s Word saw Jonah’s hardship.  Judas Iscariot betrayed Jesus Christ and he committed suicide. I have come to realise that we begin a path of destruction of our own lives when we reject God’s Word to follow other paths.  We also miss salvation. And therefore I pray, that I may not follow in this stead. Lead me onto Your path everlasting, guide me into all truth that I may run this race and receive the crown of eternal life.

Let me pay attention to the consequences of rejecting Your Word.  It leads to loss, judgment, hardship, or missed blessing.  May I not only hear Your Word but do it, bringing glory to Your name. In Faith I receive Your guidance, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Rejecting Truth
Holy and Righteous Judge, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your throne above all things.  I come before You with reverence and holy fear, because Your Word is true and Your judgments are just. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised. In the city of our God, in His holy mountain.  He is the joy of the whole earth.  The Lord is known as my refuge, a stronghold in times of trouble. And I come today, in fear of trouble that I may bring about on my own accord. Your Word in 2 Thessalonians 2:10–12  says that those who refuse to love the truth will be given over to strong delusion.  They will be made to believe lies and be condemned. I come with fear and trembling before You. I pray that I may never resist Your Word of Truth, for it shall be unto me, a damnation unto my soul if I do.  Romans 1 also carries a stern warning.  You are not a God who will lie when You say, because of their vile affections and their uncleanness, You gave them over to a reprobate mind. Who can turn from a reprobate mind unless You have mercy.

I understand that such people come into this damnation because they constantly reject truth. This is terrifying. Do not let me be handed over to my own desires, my own thinking, my own corruption. For what can I know, aside from You.

Let me hear You when You speak, Let me know Your Voice and walk in the way You lead. I do not want to become dull, hardened, or unresponsive to Your correction. Let me not ignore Your warnings. Your Word proves that You will warn and then remove their lampstands.  You do not withhold any good thing from us, but will remove Your Light, judge any compromise, and fight against those who embrace falsehood. Lord, search me. If there is compromise in me, expose it. If there is deception in me, uproot it.  I pray that Your Word remains a reminder. Pharaoh in Exodus hardened his heart to the point of his army perishing in the red sea.

Nebuchadnezzar hardened his heart to the point that he lived like an animal until he sought the Lord in mercy.  This took 7 years.  Father, do not let me drift into deception slowly. Do not let me grow numb to conviction. Do not let me justify what You have called sin. Do not let me call darkness light.  Keep me of a sober mind, vigilant to the works of that might take me away from You.  Anchor me so firmly in You that I cannot be moved.  I pray that I never come to a place of being given over to a reprobate mind.  Let not Your glory depart from me.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Reprobate Mind
Our Lord reigns, He is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, herewith He has girded Himself; The World is established by the Word, and it cannot be moved.  From everlasting to everlasting, the name of the Lord stands unmatched in power and glory.

He speaks, and creation responds. He reigns over the heavens and the earth with strength beyond measure, clothed in splendour and majesty. No force can rival Him; no throne can stand above His. The roaring seas, the rising mountains, and the vast skies all declare one truth: the Lord is mighty and eternal, and His kingdom shall never be shaken.

And so, I come, with courage, with hope, that my fear and stress is not unknown to the Lord.

I confess Lord, there are many moments in my life when fear and pressure lead me to act too quickly.  In so doing, I miss opportunities and delay my destiny.  The consequences are devastating, but thank You Lord, that I did not die with it, like King Saul did.

He faced the growing threat of the Philistines and watched his army scatter.  He was overwhelmed with fear and impatience. Instead of waiting for the prophet Samuel as instructed, he rushed to offer the sacrifice himself (1 Samuel 13). In that moment of stress, he chose control over obedience. What seemed like a small, desperate decision, revealed a lack of trust in God’s timing, and it ultimately cost him his life.

Yet Your Word reveals how powerful Your throne is.  It reigns above all rule and authority.  Let me know that it takes Your Spirit, and Your Word only, for my anxiety and stress to ease.  Help me meditate on Your Word and its power, that all things exalting itself above the Word of God may be brought low. Let me be reminded of Your ever-present peace that transcends all understanding.  When anxiety is great within me, may Your consolation bring me joy. I pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
Shadows of Fear
Abba Father, Lord Jesus Christ, and the blessed Holy Spirit, It is written, whoever is friends with the World is an enemy with God, yet the Word says, For God so loved the World that He gave His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, that whosoever may believe in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life.

Who can fathom the mystery of Your Word, except those whom You desire to give this sweet nectar to. How can God love the World but not me?  Lord, I have come to understand Your love is so great for me that You desire not the world to swallow me.  Your Word allows me to be in this world but not off this world. And so, I pray this day, that the World may not entice me back into it after I have received knowledge of the Truth. I come to You with a sober mind, vigilant for now, but I understand how things of the world can look brighter than the Kingdom of Heaven, if my eyes get fixated on it.

Your Word declares in 2 Peter 2:20–22 that those who return to the corruption of the world after knowing You are in a worse condition than before. Lord, let that never be my portion. Father, I repent of every hidden longing for the old life, every thought, every craving, every compromise that lures me towards the world.  Your Word says in Luke 9:62 that anyone who looks back is not fit for the Kingdom. Let me not look back like Lot’s wife who became a pillar of salt without savour.  How easy it is for even those who have tasted of Your goodness, to return. 2 Timothy 4:10 reminds me of Demas who forsook the work because he loved this present world. Father, deliver me from loving this world. Let my heart desire to be a light in a city that those of the world look up to, that they may be drawn to it and not perish.  Let eternity matter more to me than temporary pleasure, for the world is passing away.  Fix my eyes on Jesus, anchor me in Your Truth, that I may be acceptable for Your Kingdom’s glory.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
The World
Lord our God, how majestic is Your name in all the earth! I will speak in praise of the LORD. Let me praise Your Holy Name forever and ever.  Thank You immensely for Your all powerful Word that has been brought to me because of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Its wisdom is greater than all the treasures of the earth.

You have put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise because You have shown me that lineage is not above Your power and authority.

I have seen days of adversity.  I have seen patterns of destruction and death in my family line.  I have seen the works of illnesses and diseases. I have seen how some are so blessed while I struggled along. But You, Oh Lord, have made me a new creation. A new tree from which shall spring forth fruits of righteousness and all blessings shall flow there from. And I shout for joy that I am no longer held in the bondage of lineage.

Father, I have learned through Your Word that Adam and Eve’s disobedience caused Cain to be raised into a murderer.  But Jabez understood Your power to overturn.  He reversed his life of pain by praying unto You.  He said, “Oh that You would bless me indeed and enlarge my territory… that Your Hand will be with me and You will keep me from evil.”  It is written that You, Oh Lord, granted his request, and this tells me that prayer reverses destinies.  But Lord, I find a sad case in Judges 11. Jephthah was rejected because of his birth.  He was driven out of his family.  But Lord instead of seeking You, he built on his own strength.  He went with might and power and not by Your Spirit as he sought to prove his worth.  This resulted in the devastating loss of his beloved daughter. He died of a broken heart, not being able to accomplish his will. His lineage was a burden.

But Ruth chose to follow God’s people, even though she had come from a cursed people.  Her life turned around to being in the lineage of the Messiah.

Lord, even Tamar in Genesis 38 was found to be in a dysfunctional family.  She became involved in a scandal within Judah’s family.  Her story is tied to deception and broken family structure.  She became part of a Messianic line.

Lord I am reminded also about how Achan’s greed got his entire family killed.  There are many more stories, but You Oh Lord, in Your wisdom that cannot be fathomed, You changed destinies.  The greatest thing You have done is give me Your Son, to pay for my sins and all curses that comes through my lineage, that I may be accepted into a Kingdom of absolute authority and power. I thank You for making me a new creation, that old things have passed away and have no bearing on my destiny anymore. This I thank You for, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Through Lineage
Who is like my Lord. His majestic power overrides all forms of authority exalting itself against His Word. Because of the Lord Jesus Christ, whose great love and mercy brought me redemption and made me blameless, I have confidence to approach the throne of my Father in confidence.

Abba Father, Your Word says be anxious for nothing, but by prayer and supplication, let my requests be made known to You. I come to inform You about the darkness that is threatening to envelop me.

Let God be truth and every man outside of the fear of God, working works of detriment to others, be a liar. Amen. Your Word declares there is no place for liars, thieves, soothsayers and the like in Your Kingdom.  And so, I come to hand over some spiritual battles that is hindering my livelihood on earth.  Lord, I pray this day, that You would send Your armies of heaven against the principalities, powers, darkness of this world and demonic entities that are hindering my life in ways I cannot explain.

Father, I ask that You would cause the downfall of the wicked. Bring their desires to nought.  Shall He who planted the ear, not hear, shall He who formed the eye not see? Those who work with dark spiritual forces are akin to killers of destiny.  Arise Lord and let them be scattered.  Let them who are engaging with witches, sorcery, seers, become fearful as they see their works pour upon their own heads.  I declare that the Blood of Jesus washes over the charms, chants, invocations of the dark, that every spirit not of God may lose its force and power. Bring judgement where it is due over the human entities who are harbouring demonic spirits to condemn, destruct and destroy the plans You have for me.

I ask that You might send forth the angels to uproot, expose and destruct that which has been kept hidden in the Spirit but has been seen by the all seeing eye of my God.

I know that Your courtrooms are powerful and indestructible. I know that the Name of Jesus never fails in its Holiness, Righteousness and Judgements. Reverse the works of evil entities, sanctify me and answer my prayer in ways that will show off Your Glory, Your dominion and the power of Your everlasting Kingdom.  Remove these weapons that are causing mayhem with my life. I pray this in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen

Illicit sex

Sovereign Lord, You indeed hold all matters to heart. I come to the spiritual realm, into the stately throne room of the Most High. Thank You for the Blood that speaks for me - the Blood of Jesus, which has since its inception spoken and not reneged on its promise. With this hope in my Living God, I am redeemed from all sin and curses. Your Word has said, if I confess my sins, You are faithful and just to forgive me if I willingly turn from this way.

I come to confess my sins of sexual immorality. I understand that sex is a gift from God, and it’s to be in the context of marriage, for pleasure and procreation between a husband and his wife. Lord, I was misled by my own lusts and the influence of the world.  Lord, I have dishonoured that which was meant to be holy.  I have dishonoured the Lord and opened myself to dangers I am unable to protect myself from.  It is written, flee from sexual immorality. I can never lie to You Oh Lord, for You know my every move, even my thoughts are not hid from You. I have come to understand through my own experience that I am accumulating emotional baggage by having illicit sex.

When I want to commit this sin, remind me Oh Lord, about Joseph in the Bible, who, despite the betrayals and hardship he faced, kept himself pure from the temptation of Potiphar’s wife.  Your plans for him were fulfilled. It was the fear of God that held Joseph from falling into sin.  It was not the fear of being discovered or the fear of punishment. He exclaimed to Potiphar’s wife, “How then could I do such a wicked thing and sin against God?”

Lord, as I get to know You, through Your Word, I have learned how many have fallen through their sexual sins.  My ignorance, my rejection, my leaning unto my own understanding have led me on a path where I too fell.  I pray this day, have mercy on me, O God, according to Your unfailing love; according to Your great compassion blot out my transgressions. Wash away all my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin. For I know my transgressions, and my sins are always before You. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done what is evil in Your sight.  I therefore know that You are proved right when You speak, and justified when You judge. Surely, I was sinful at birth, sinful from the time my mother conceived me.

Surely you desire truth in the inner parts; You teach me wisdom in the inner most place. Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. Let me hear joy and gladness; Hide Your face from my sins and blot out all my iniquity. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from Your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Addiction & Lack of Self-Control

Sovereign Lord, Heavenly Father, how mindful You are of me, declaring that You have plans for me, to prosper me and not to harm me, to give me a hope and a future.  I pray that I am mindful of You. My mind has become distorted these days as I face a demonic force greater than I can bear.   You are my Saviour, Lord Jesus.  Your Word is my healer, Your Spirit, my comforter. It is written, whom the Son sets free is free indeed.  I pray that You would liberate me from this force of darkness that has taken over my life.  Loving Father, enable me to keep all things within the perspective of Your sovereignty. Let Your Holy Spirit bring me comfort to know that the fierceness of the battle is not evidence of defeat.

Lord, I am battling substance abuse (name it), brought on by my lack of wisdom. Let me stop blaming circumstances.  Your Word has been given - I am an overcomer in Christ Jesus.  As I endeavour to destroy the addictions I am facing, I ask for Your divine help in overcoming.

It is written in Proverbs 23:20–21, “Do not join those who drink too much wine or gorge themselves on meat…”  Lack of discipline leads to downfall. You warn me again in Proverbs 25:16, “If you find honey, eat just enough - too much of it, and you will vomit.” Here I am, an overindulgent person, not knowing when to stop. I have come to realise that gluttony is the root of addictions and if the root be uprooted, then I shall overcome this hideous habit that is leading my life into deeper darkness. I never, according to Philippians 3:19, want to make my stomach my god.  Let me know that whatever I consume, it should be done for the glory of God.  What glory can You receive if I be a partaker of drugs, alcohol and other substances including, excess food.  I risk selling my birthright in Christ according to Genesis 25:29 - 34.  I risk perishing in my wilderness as I read about people craving meat in Numbers 11:4 – 34.

Ezekiel 16:49 reveals I become like Sodom, when I have an abundance to satisfy my own cravings and thereby having pride and neglecting the poor.  Gluttony, the root of addictions will lead me into hell as per Luke 16:19 - 31.  This is about lack of self-control which exposes me to becoming drunk and being uncovered like Noah was. It leads to poor decisions and creates a toxic environment. Lord, I see the sin that took place in the Bible through intoxication. It brings shame and dishonour, and can lead to serious moral consequences. It even kills as it did to Nabal in 1 Samuel 25:36 - 8.

My sins of intoxication is sure to bring judgement as it did in Daniel 5:1 – 30.  Belshazzar consumed alcohol excessively and used sacred temple vessels, thus disrespecting You, Lord. My body is the Temple of God.  But here I am, using my body for my own satisfaction.  In Exodus 32:6, it is written, God’s people “ate and drank and rose up to play” while worshiping the golden calf.

And so I pray this day, that You would help me abandon my addiction in favour of Your way. In humility, I ask for Your mercy and strength against these forces that threaten to consume me.  I hand this burden into Your hands. I surrender all to You. Renew my mind with Your truth. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I may desire what is good, pure, and pleasing to You.

Give me self-control when I am weak, courage when I am afraid. Remind me that You are with me and will never leave me.  Become the master of my destiny.  Take over and lead me Your way and not my own. In the name of my Lord Jesus Christ, I pray.  Amen.
Addiction and self control
Sovereign Lord, Heavenly Father, You have been my dwelling-place; before the mountains were brought forth or even the earth was formed, You knew me.  You are the Lord from everlasting to everlasting.  It is written in John 15:8 that those who bear good fruit, are Your disciples. The fruit of the Spirit are love, joy, peace, goodness, meekness, kindness, gentleness, longsuffering and self-control. But I confess Lord, I have been swayed through social media influence, to live in the world and its blazing lights.

It is written in Matthew 24:12, because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. Lord, I have found social media to be the greatest influencer of losing the fruits of the Spirit. It has caused me to fall into disobedience.  I no longer am drawn to reading and obeying Your Word. While there are many gospel attractions on social media, there are distractions that come in between. These are leading me to sin and decay.

Lord, I admit that social media has been dominating my life and shaping my identity.  I have seen the highs and lows of it. Your Word warns me in the book of Genesis.  It is like consuming from the tree of knowledge of Good and Evil.  In today’s context, posts, comments, and messages are encouraging or devastating many lives.  I understand that Satan is the Father of liars, and I have seen how harmful speech, gossip and the spreading of false information is ruining lives. Yet Your Word Lord, strongly condemns this.  Social media has become a fertile ground for turning people away from You. Therefore, today Lord, I give You pre-eminence in my life. Discipline me in Your good ways.  Convict my heart to draw near to You, then You shall draw near to me.

Forgive me for my lack of discipline over my use of social media.  It is written, “For the Lord disciplines the one He loves,” I desire not to forsake my inheritance of being a child of God.  Unless the Lord, helps, my soul shall dwell in silence. Lord, I pray that You will remind me to be an Absolute with You. Your Word directs my steps. And if I should go astray, it will direct it accordingly.   It does not matter how I feel, I ask You to direct my paths towards You. Let me be kept under control, lest after preaching to others, I, myself should be disqualified from Your Kingdom.

It is not Your desire that I should fill my time with many voices.  It is written in Hebrews 12:1, that I should throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles.

Help me lay this down. Help me to go within to seek You.  Your Word says that if I seek You with all my heart, I will find You.  Your Spirit is always within me, yet I have not considered that You are witnessing all that I do. Give me conviction to meditate on You, that I may be able to hear the still, small voice of my Lord, and be directed in His will. I choose Your presence over empty scrolling.  Therefore, stop what must be stopped, and begin what must begin in my life. This I pray in the name of Jesus.  Amen.
Social media and advertising
Sovereign Lord, cause me to define Your Sovereignty over my entire life’s path.  Jesus said, “In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33).   Your Word and Your Spirit are my Comforter and my Wonderful Counsellor.

And so I pray this day – I bring my internal conflicts which is hid from those around me, before the throne of an Almighty God.  It is written, You shall call unto Me and I will deliver You.  Therefore deliver me Lord, from these constant thoughts that disrupt my ability to make decisions.

Cause me to be still and know that You are God.  It is not I who must live, but the Lord in me. I am reminded about King David, who is described as a man after God’s own heart, yet in his writings of the Psalms, his anguish is poured out. His soul is vexed and he is dealing with complex internal and external conflicts.  Lord, King David’s Faith reminds me that I can bring my struggles before You, in raw honesty.

Your Word has not neglected to provide me with knowledge that many suffer internal and even external conflicts while they try to keep up with the fast pace of life. I am reminded of Job in the Bible.  Job revered You, yet he lost his children, wealth, and health.  If that was not enough, both his wife and friends neglected to bring him any comfort and good counsel. Instead, they berated him. As I read about his overwhelming troubles, I find something that stands out.  Through it all, You were listening to this play out.  I am comforted with this.  You are ever present with Your children in their deepest sorrows, internal conflicts and other struggles.  Unlike people, You do not look at the outward appearance, but You see within.

Lord, I pray this day, help me leave these burdens I feel, at Your feet, and know that You are God.  Cause me to seek You in the midst of the pain and worry. I can relate to the Word which says, “Fearfulness and trembling have come upon me, And horror has overwhelmed me. So I said, “Oh, that I had wings like a dove! I would fly away and be at rest.”

But where can I go from myself?  There is nothing sinful about suffering.  Psalm 77:4 says, “You hold my eyelids open; I am so troubled that I cannot speak.” This anguish is not new.  And therefore in Your Word, You remind me that You are with me, and this too shall pass. Isaiah 53:3 says He was “a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief.”  This was my Jesus.

I am reminded that I serve a God who is not immune to my suffering, but One who understands and draws near to me in it. Because of this, I choose to abide in You, Lord, trusting that You will deliver me from the depths of my distress. They do not only calm the storms within me, Lord, but they quiet my soul.  I declare that the Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.  He makes me lie down in green pastures, He leads me beside quiet waters, He refreshes my soul.  He guides me along the right paths for His name’s sake. I believe You will show me the way. You will give me courage and strength.  In Your mercy, You will restore me, and I will once again feel the life You give me, flowing within me through Your love, Your grace, and in Your perfect will. In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen
Complex internal conflicts
Sovereign Lord, Saviour King, how beautiful is Your Glory in all the earth.  Lord, Most High, righteous Judge and loving Father, I stand before You today laying down every emotion, every burden, and every hidden struggle, knowing that nothing in me is concealed from Your sight.

As I get to know Your Word, I am amazed at how it answers on every aspect of my life here.  This day, and each day until I am confident, I am at peace, I will bring my anger issues before You.  While Your Word allows me to be angry, it must be from a place of righteousness like the Lord emphasized when He overturned tables in the Father’s house.  He was angry with people who did not have enough faith, including disciples that spent a lot of time with Him. He was angry about the doctrines of the pharisees and Sadducees who were hypocrites in their walk with God.  Such anger is allowed for it is of the things of God.  Yet Lord, Your Word has also proven that Jesus did not get angry when Judas betrayed Him.  He did not get angry when soldiers came to arrest Him.  He did not get angry when they tried to stone Him. He did not get angry when He was told to leave Gedara.

It tells me that Holy Anger is different from the unrighteous, mental outbursts I am prone to.  And I pray this day, that You might allow me to know the difference.
I confess that even my well-intended anger can become destructive if I do not surrender it to You. Teach me, Father, to discern the difference between righteous anger and flesh-driven reaction. When I feel justified, remind me not to allow the sun to go down on my  anger. For then I shall be in darkness.

Lord, I am reminded about Nabal who became so angry that David and his men were fed from his household, that his anger overtook him and he died 10 days later.

Lord, I am reminded about Cain who killed his brother in a fit of rage. He was led into darkness which he never returned from. Help me to be like You – slow to anger and great in mercy, that I may be acceptable as a child of God.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Anger & Emotional Outbursts
Lord, You have been favourable to me.  You brought me into a spacious place with no restrictions. You have enlarged my coasts and set me on high.  I ask this day, in all that I have, let me not be so fixated on my material blessings, that it sets me into pride.  I have read about King Hezekiah, whose life You added years to.  He opened his treasures to Babylon and upon His death, his household was taken away by the very same enemy who came to view.  Do not let my worldly treasures bring pride that I may show to others what material blessings I have achieved. The Lord has given me that which was good and my land has yielded its increase. But everything belongs to the Lord.  It is written; the silver and gold are Yours.  It is You who has given me the power to create wealth, that Your covenant may be established.  Let me remember to bless You in all my substance, lest I fall like those who sought wealth and boasted of it.

All Word is written for my teaching, rebuking, correcting and training.  Lord, 1 Chronicles 29:12, says wealth and honour come from You; You are the ruler of all things. Proverbs 10:22 says You bring wealth and You add no sorrow to it.  It is that I may abound in every good work according to 2 Corinthians 9:8.

In all my having, my greatest wealth is my spiritual walk with You.  Cause me to remember this lest I fall from the grace You have given. I remember Judas Iscariot, who allowed money to lead him into betrayal and his own destruction. Guard my heart, Lord, that I may never trade my relationship with You for temporary gain.  I reflect on Gehazi, who took gifts that were not meant for him.  It led him to an incurable disease. Even Achan in the book of Joshua, thought he could hide stolen wealth.  It caused his nation to go into destruction, and then it destroyed his entire family. Deliver me from hypocrisy, that makes me look spiritual in front of others but inwardly I am harbouring the root of all evils.

I understand that those who come to You, may walk away in favour of their wealth, when they find out the journey they must take towards pure spirituality and heaven.  The rich ruler in Mark reminds me that my wealth will never buy me salvation.  Teach me to be a steward, not a servant of riches.  Remind me that material blessings are temporary and putting such before You can lead to loss of salvation, destruction and death, the practise of idoltary, pride and many other sorrowful piercings.  Save me from the curse of materialism when it takes precedence over my walk with You.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Materialism & Love of Money
Lord Almighty, You are a God who completed Your good work before You rested. This wisdom teaches me that I should rest only after I have done that which is my responsibility.

Science backs me when it speaks of the 2nd law of Thermodynamics. Anything left unattended, will decay over time.  It is further written in Ecclesiastes 10:18, “Through laziness, the roof sinks in, and through idleness, the house leaks.”

Lord, You warn in Your Word, “A little sleep, a little slumber… and poverty will come on you like a thief.” (Proverbs 6:10 - 11). Cause me to be alert to laziness and lack of discipline. I do not desire to be slack in my work, for then I become a brother to him who destroys according to Proverbs 18:9. Again You remind me that riches will not endure, therefore I am to know the condition of my life.

Father, You have been faithful to give all, the same number of hours in a day.  Let me use this time wisely. Cause me to learn to be diligent, disciplined, and proactive, without needing constant supervision. Nature teaches us to be responsible, yet I confess that I have not always followed this wisdom. I have sometimes chosen comfort over discipline, delay over obedience, and excuses over action.  Forgive me Lord, and convict me to understand that time waits for no man.  It is written, “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might” (Ecclesiastes 9:10).  And again, Your Word reminds me to do all things unto the glory of God.  How can I glorify You if I am lazy.  Cause me to arise and shine, for the light has come.  I want to be faithful in the little that I may become faithful in much. Teach me to steward my time well. Remind me of the road I am taking if I delay my responsibilities. Lord,  embed this truth in my heart:  Delayed obedience is disobedience. What I neglect will decay. What I leave for tomorrow, will weaken the new day. My life ought to be a life of purpose, not a burden. Remind me daily that time is a gift, and what I do with it matters. Let me not stand before You one day, with regret over what I could have done but chose not to.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Laziness & Lack of Discipline
Invincible Lord, Glorious King of the heavens and the earth, how mighty are Your works in me and through me. I am in awe of the power of Your Word. Nothing is untrue, everything goes.  I confess that Your Word is so true, it affects me - mind, body and soul.

Thank You Lord, for allowing me to have access to Your Word. Thank You for letting Jesus be my Saviour. I understand that I cannot control my feelings unless I know Your Word.  This day I pray that I may get to know You more.  You are all powerful and Your Word is established.

I come to the mercy seat, bringing my heart and mind before Your Holy Presence.  I confess I watched another and jealousy stirred up in me. Envy caused me to plot and plan the destruction of the person.  No one noticed because these feelings were within me and could not easily be recognized.

Lord, I sought to stir up gossip, plant seeds in other’s hearts and sabotage their works.  Yet Your Word reveals that my jealousy and envy returns upon my own head.  It is written, “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones,” Proverbs 14:30.  It is eating  away my inner life.  It disturbs my peace.  A person without peace is like a wave that is being tossed about without reprieve. I have lost all contentment in my life, because I became fixated on another’s.  According to Your Word, a subtle shift has taken place, and it is growing towards my mental breakdown.

Your Word says in James 3:16 , “For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice.” I confess the disorder and evil practises that entered my life. Please forgive me, heal me and I shall be healed.  Turn my mind to look towards You, from whom all blessings flow.  I am not in peace anymore.  Lord, if I leave this unchecked, I could destroy entire lives like Cain did to Abel.  I am also reminded about Joseph and his brothers.  His brothers hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.  Their jealousy grew into envy as they sought to kill him. Eventually they decided to sell him into slavery. They did not even have compassion on their ageing father., when they lied to him that Joseph had died.

God is love and it is written in 1 Corinthians 13:4. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.”  Lord I pray this day, turn my heart of stone into a heart of flesh. Remove these spirits that have taken root, for no power on earth can uproot that which is so powerful, except the Lord comes and take control of my life. Let me be grateful for what I have. It is in gratitude for what You have given me, that I will find my redemption and peace.  Remind me to be thankful always, that new seeds of the fruit of the spirit may grow and abide in me. This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Envy & Comparison
You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. When I sit down and when I arise, when I go out and when I come in.  You even hear my thoughts.  You discern all things about me.  You are familiar with all my ways.   Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. How could I think that I can hide anything from You?  If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. And so I pray this day, that You might deliver me from the deception I’ve been hiding, the double life I am leading. (Name the lie you are living – whether it be an affair, substance abuse, love child, etc.).

Lord, Your Word brings news to me that nothing that is hidden will not be brought before Light. King David was a man after God’s own heart, yet he did not just have an affair, by the authority he had, he arranged the death of her husband to hide his love-child.

Samson’s sins of lust with prostitutes and unequally yoked wives broke his vow to God.  Judas Iscariot was one of the Lord’s twelve disciples, yet he stole money from the temple of God.

Your Word warns me of having a form of God but denying Your power to act against my sins.  I confess in all honesty, even though it is difficult. I am living in deception as I lead a life unknown to those whom I love. You see everything in my life, what is portrayed to others and what is hidden.  I have not lived with integrity, and I ask for Your mercy and forgiveness. My life is a lie, and I want to be set free from this deception.  Give me the courage to be honest, that I may no longer have to hide behind fear or shame. Lord, I ask for strength and wisdom to make things right with those whom I love. Prepare my heart and theirs, and guide me in the right words and timing. Let truth bring healing, not destruction, and let Your grace go before me. Teach me to live openly before You and others, and to choose honesty over secrecy, because living in deception feels like a prison I can no longer bear.  I pray for Your strength over the outcome, whatever it may be, for I know Your perfect love works in me.  I trust in Your mercy and redemption, in the Mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Deception & Living a Double Life

Bad Influences & Corrupt Friendships

Impulsiveness & Lack of Wisdom
“O Lord, the Only True Judge and Redeemer of my soul, I recognize that You alone have authority over my life.  I glorify You because You do not look at the outward appearance or the social standing, but You look directly at the heart. I praise You for being a God who does not demand that I shrink myself to fit into the narrow corridors of human approval. You are the God of the vast heavens and yet You sought to ensure that You draw up plans for my life.  Through the love of Jesus Christ, I have become a child of the Most High.

I pray unto You this day, that I may know Your ways, Your Truths, Your thoughts over me.  My life oh Lord, has become a stark contrast of what I have been told about my merciful God. I confess it has been moulded into a box that fits into human acceptance.  People have placed a yoke around me, bound me in spiritual chains, and left me with no confidence in myself, as I sought their approval and acceptance.

I pray this day, as You have declared in Isaiah 51:23, that You may proceed with this promise.  It is written, "And I will put it into the hand of your tormentors, who have said to your soul, ‘Bow down, that we may walk over you’; And you placed your body on the ground, as a path for them to pass over". Your Word is true and faithful.    Lord, I have seen how people can enslave others through familiar chains of social and private approvals.  I am the temple of the Holy Spirit.  How then can I allow people’s voices to take precedence over the Lord’s voice?  Yet I have – many, many times. I have done it at times in fear of the unknown, the fear of man, and at other times, just to feel accepted. According to Psalm 37:23–24, make my steps firm.  It is written that You delight in me.

Father, I am reminded about the boldness of the apostle Paul who proclaimed in Galatians 1:10, “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? ... If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” I do not desire to please people but the Lord alone.  How many have I heard say, even if I walk alone with God I will do so, yet they have never truly proven it.  I want this Lord, I desire to do Your Will, even if it means walking alone with You.

Almighty God, the prodigal son gave all his wealth to the world for acceptance, and returned as a beggar to the Father’s house.  Redeem me from tearing my soul to pieces to please the world.  I thank You for receiving me back into Your kingdom, for allowing Your plans to come forth for me.  I repent for delaying my own destiny by placing my trust in man, and not in You. I bless You for Your mercies upon me.  In Jesus Name, I thank You.  Amen.
Desire for Acceptance
Sovereign Lord, it is written in Psalm 1, “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful…. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Lord, this Psalm tells me about moving away from ungodly people who pressure me into things that are not of the Lord.

I am reminded about Eve who stepped outside of her covering and took ungodly counsel.  She ate a fruit that was forbidden and fell into everlasting sin. I confess, many times, the counsel of my friends sound subtle, almost comforting, as though they have my best interests at heart. But beneath these talks, there is a spiritual battle that will ultimately direct my steps.

Therefore I pray, grant me discernment beyond appearances. Teach me to see through the false peace of familiar voices in my circle. Remind me that when major decisions are to be made, I should be looking within, for the still, small voice of my Saviour, instead of the counsel of those around me.

Peer pressure is not harsh, it does not point me to the danger ahead, it just desires that I approve them.  I am reminded about Rehoboam whose heart was led astray by friends. As a new king, his duty was to consider the history of wise counsellors. He was blessed to have a seasoned counsellor whose words never failed.  Yet, he chose to listen to the generation he grew up with. In so doing, he lost a large part of his kingdom to a servant.

Lord, I pray, give me the humility to pause and reflect. Teach me to look beyond words and examine the fruit of those who speak into my life. Help me not to be swayed by confidence or charisma, but to seek character, integrity, and a history that reflects Your ways. Let me never trade lasting peace for the illusion of strength in familiar circles.

Strengthen me to stand firm, even when it sets me apart.  Order my steps on to Your path, guard my heart, and let me be anchored in the truth of Your Word.  Let me not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of my mind.” (Romans 12:2).  Lord, I understand now that peer pressure loses its power when my thoughts are fixed on You.  Thank You Father in the Lord Jesus’ name.  Amen.
Peer Pressure
Heavenly Father, why does my soul despair when it has been redeemed by the Lord Jesus Christ?  Yet will I praise You, for You alone are God, and there is none beside You.

Lord, I am praying unto You, the living God.  You, who know all things, is aware that within me, is a place of fear and distress.  I am trembling, not in fear of working out my salvation as Your Word asks, but I am anxious over many things.  It is written, “When I am afraid, I put my trust in You.”   If You be willing, heal me and deliver me from all my troubles according to Psalm 25.

How thankful I am to note in Your Word, that even those who were so close to You, felt panic and anxiety when faced with unprecedented encounters.  I am reminded about Elijah, who, after performing one of the greatest miracles, wanted to die because of his fear of Jezebel.

You saved him through Your outstretched arm. You met him in this place of panic but You did not condemn him.  You instead fed him, strengthened him and helped him so much, that no one could kill him. When David was fearful and anxious as he hid from King Saul and his men, You never allowed anyone to find him. You proved that he was kept under the shadow of Your wings.  When the woman whose children were being taken into slavery was in deep distress, You sent Your servant to save her at the last moment.  Your Word was given to Joshua to take courage for You were with him.  And so You are with me today.  Help me take courage.  Let me arise in power, dissipate all trembling and fear that I may walk boldly into the plans You have for me.

When the Apostle Peter was afraid, You sent the Apostle Paul to speak truth to Him. It is written; I shall know the truth and the truth shall make me free.  The truth is, the Lord is within me, whom shall I fear?  You are not a God who is far off. You are within me. And so, I pray this day, as You were with Joshua, remind me that You are with me. As You undertook for Elijah, undertake for me.  As You spoke forth through the apostles, speak forth through me.  Take control of my heart and say to my soul, be not fearful for the Lord Your God is with you, behold, even to the end of time.  When anxiety rises within me, let Your Joy bring me consolation.  When my thoughts spiral,  my heart flutters and my body trembles, draw me back to Your Word of promise that says in John 14:27, “My peace I leave with You, My peace I give to You, let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

I trust You, Lord. Help me to rest in that truth, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Anxiety & Worry About the Future
Hear me, Lord, and answer me. I am afflicted with the pangs of loneliness and isolation.  Guard me for I am faithful to You. Have mercy upon me, for unto You do I call all day.  Cause me to feel Your presence that I may once more put my trust in You.  Lord,  I am reminded of the Covid 19 hour of trial that You brought upon the whole world.  Everyone was hid and even those who had families could not bear the burden of being closed up. Mental illness, strife and addictions arose within families.  This tells me that we can feel isolated and alone even with people all around us.

I thank You Lord, that I am not alone.  Elijah found himself in despair as he sat alone, exhausted, and afraid.  After a great victory, Elijah fled into the wilderness and desired to die.  1 Kings 19 tells me that You met him in this place, fed him and spoke gently to him. Let me also feel Your tangible Presence. Where the Presence of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Lord, I am also reminded about Hagar who was abandoned as a single parent. She wept as she resigned herself to believing that she and her son would die in the desert, yet You arrived to rescue her.  It tells me You cast no one away.  Your provided water and built them into a strong nation. This incident reveals a profound truth within Your Word.  More are the children of the desolate. than those of the married woman – Isaiah 54:1.

Hagar called You “El Roi” -  the God who sees me (Genesis 16:13).  See me too Lord, that I may once more feel peace within me.  Even David who was betrayed and pursued, was shielded by You as he sought refuge in the caves of Adullam. I repeat his words which calls You his “rock” and “fortress” and asks that You will turn to him and be gracious for he was lonely and afflicted.  You did exactly that.  You are a never changing God. And so I thank You, that Your Word reminds me – I am not alone.  You are in control.  You know me altogether.  May I be reminded that isolation is not punishment, loneliness is not abandonment, but both are a chance to draw closer to You,  that You may draw closer to me.  Thank You Lord for this deeper truth.  In Jesus Name I receive Your companionship,  comfort and joy.  Amen.
Loneliness & Isolation

Amen.
Temptation & Moral Struggles
Injustice & Anger at the World
I’m so glad for the Word that we have through our Sovereign Lord.  There is nothing that God, our Father has not considered in His Word, to save us.  And this day, I pray, over a matter that has left me bitter, angry, frustrated at the wheels of Justice in my country.  But Lord I have hope. I have hope that I may see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.  While I struggle with our nation’s systems that are wrought in corruption, negligence and even laziness, I am thankful for the courts of heaven, for the Judge of the heaven and the earth, who has seen, heard and promises to act.

Lord, I confess, I am tired of corruption.  True justice seems to be abandoned. People no longer walk in righteousness, and those who try, are being killed.  Lord, let me feel the peace in knowing, no one escapes Your judgement.  Cause my anger to cease as I rest in Your promise that You will not let the wicked go unpunished.

I am reminded that we fight not against flesh which is the temple of the Holy Spirit.  We fight not against the Blood, which was given for our redemption, but we are to fight against principalities that rule over us as though we are doormats.  We are to fight against powers that are supposed to enforce our constitution but do not do so. We fight against rulers of the darkness of this world and these are people all around us, who come against us to cause us harm, and delay our destinies. And Lord I understand, we fight against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. This is Satan and his angels.

And so Lord, before I take on such powers, I bring before You, the matter in which I saw grave injustice (name the matter).  I ask that Your courts weaken the powers that are holding back judgement in favour of evil doers. Destruct them with forces they cannot see coming.

I am confident in the Lord who says, judgement is sure to follow injustices.  The Lord hates anyone who deprives victims of their rights. Thank You Lord for showing me through Your Word, that when injustices continue, judgment comes suddenly and without warning from heaven itself.  Help me to wait as it is written, “For the Lord is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for Him” (Isaiah 30:18).

I thank You Lord, for Your Word which says, “be sure you sin will find you out.”

Thank You for reminding me that You know all things.  Let Your Promise come quickly. It is written, “The Lord works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed,” (Psalm 103:6). I pray for Your peace as You bring Your judgement in the appointed time. I know You will deal treacherously against those who have dealt treacherously with me.  You will give them according to what they have done, for I serve a God who cannot lie.  Let me meditate on Your Word which says “Fret not yourself because of evildoers… for they shall soon be cut down like the grass” (Psalm 37:1–2). Thank You Lord, that anger at the systems of corruption is no longer my concern.  It is in Your Kingdom power to let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream” (Amos 5:24). I bless You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
Desire for success and fear of failure
Sovereign Lord, Creator of the heavens and earth, the Ancient of Days, enthroned in majesty and clothed in brilliant light. You who spoke and galaxies were born, You who measures the waters and lays them on pathways and rocks.  You who shut in the sea with doors when it burst out from the womb”. “It is by Your Word that the hawk soars, and spreads its wings toward the south. It is at the command of the Lord that the eagle mounts up and makes its nest on high?”

Lord it is written, I can do nothing by myself. Apart from Your Spirit, I am but wanton for I am made to glory in You alone. I pray this day; against the intensity I have to succeed without You.  Your greatness is beyond searching out, Your wisdom without limit, Your ways higher than mine.  It is written in Matthew 6:33 that I should seek the kingdom of God first and all things shall be added on. I pray this day, let me not get ahead of myself thinking I have gained all things by my own strength, wisdom and power. I have seen those in Your Word who sought riches and status only to lose the Kingdom.  While I fear failure, I must ask, who am I fearing?  Shall I fear man and seek success to boast and be amongst them?  Let me not measure my worth by worldly success and fear failure as a result.  Unless You build my house, I labour but in vain. Even the wisest of them all, King Solomon found out that chasing worldly treasures and pleasures will not fill a man’s soul like the Lord. He said, “I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind” (Ecclesiastes 1:14). For what does it profit me to gain the whole world and yet lose my soul? (Mark 8:36).

Remind me that all things are mine, and I am in Christ, and Christ is in God.  I pray that my life may testify not to my greatness, but to Your goodness. You are faithful in every season. You satisfy the longing soul and fill the hungry heart with good things (Psalm 107:9), in Jesus’ name,  Amen.
Heartbreak
Heavenly Father I have no other who can understand my broken heart as You do.  You say You are close to the broken heart.  Let me feel Your closeness, that I may be comforted.

I come before You, citing that my heart is torn as the love of my life has found interest in another.  I understand that the world is complicated and full of sin. It has torn the meaning of true love and those who give it, may feel the sting of it like unto hopelessness and death.

I pray this day, that the consolation of Your Word brings me joy.  Guard my heart from consuming my life.  I am broken and despise the direction in which my life has turned, after giving my all to that which did not reciprocate it.

Lord, many in the Bible had their hearts broken in family, relationships, careers, but healing is possible through the One who suffered the greatest heartbreak.  He was Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.

Lord, build hope in me again for hope deferred makes the heart sick. Let me not rush into decisions that I feel will heal me faster.  I ask for Your guiding hand and comforting Word to return me to my own identity in You.

Help me to meditate daily on You that I may be strengthened by Your supernatural power.  It is written, “I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future.” Remind me that Your plans are better than mine, Your ways will always guide me to a future that will save me and protect me from these stumbling blocks that threaten to destroy me.  I pray that healing will begin within me as I reflect on the infinite and glorious power of Christ Consciousness.

While I feel my value has decreased, let me know that it has increased in You. Remind me that my worth is not defined by any relationship, but by Your unchanging love for me. Help me trust that You are writing my story with purpose, even when I don’t fully understand it.

I may not understand what is happening now, but later I will.  I therefore surrender my heart to You.  Take my heart and heal it, that I may know the love my Saviour.

Lord, many in Your Word were hurt. Leah, Hannah, Michel, Ruth, and others. But You prove that You turn all things around. Do it once more.  Do it again, this time unto me.  Let Your perfect will be done.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
Faith Struggles
Merciful Lord, Great Redeemer, Lord of love and kindness, my soul is weary, my strength has left me.  I am weak, bitter, cold and faithless.  Arise within me once more.  By Your Word have I learned, that I am not alone in thinking You have abandoned me.

The book of Job reveals in chapter 23:8 – 9, “But if I go to the east, He is not there;
if I go to the west, I do not find Him. When He is at work in the north, I do not see Him;
when He turns to the south, I catch no glimpse of Him.”  Yet Job still clings to trust beneath the silence.  He says further in Job 23:10 “But He knows the way that I take; when He has tested me, I will come forth as gold.” Lord, let me not lament at my portion right now, that I take a different path away from You.  I confess that I am struggling to keep my Faith in You.  And I ask, “Why do You hide Your face and consider me Your enemy?” just like Job did.

But here I gain comfort.  In Job 38, I find out that You Lord, listen to every word spoken and every thought within me.  Your Word says in Hebrews 11:1 that faith is trusting what we cannot see. I want to believe that what You promised shall come to pass.

Many of Your righteous children felt what I feel right now.  They were left confused at who You are, and whether You were with them or against them….And Your Word revealed Your true nature to them.  You were faithful even when their faith felt empty.  You never left them for one moment. In the book of Job, You restored him and doubled his portion of blessings. With Moses, You ensured that You showed him the promised land in which the people he was leading, were going to cross over to. With Thomas, You appeared and proved Your crucifixion.  With Elijah, You proved that not a hair on his head was touched, even though he was threatened by the Queen of the land, Jezebel.  With David, You fulfilled Your promise. He became king despite going through near death experiences.

Lord, I pray, let me not be like Charles Templeton, who was one of the greatest preachers in the early Billy Graham era.  He later abandoned his faith and wrote a chilling memoir called, “farewell to God”.  That scares me for I do not want to be taken away from You.  Hear my cry like the one in the Gospel of Mark 9:24, wherein it is written, “I believe; help my unbelief.”

Turn my disillusionment and disbelief that You have abandoned me.  I do not know Your ways.  Your ways are higher than mine, so are Your thoughts. Help me be still during this moment of struggles.  Perhaps I am expecting an outcome my own way, perhaps I am emotionally and spiritually exhausted.  My devotion feels empty.  I hear nothing from You. Keep me from seeking other gods in the form of friends, idols, seers or other.  Help me wait out this time because Your Word proves, that You will come and not tarry.  This I pray in the Lord Jesus’ name.  Amen
LGBQT
Lord of the heavens and the earth, I am so grateful for Your Word in Romans 8.  It is written, “There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” I am thankful that Christ is in me, therefore, despite what the World identifies me as, I am dead to sin, for the Spirit which gives life, is in me.

And as I come to pray, each day, seeking the Lord, I do not deny that by social standings I come from the LGBQT community (name which you identify with).  Abba Father, thank You that even though I may have an identity by others, You sent Your Son to save me.  None can be saved without a Saviour. It is written in Romans 3:23, that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.  Sins is not concentrated into communities such as mine, it is all around, whether there be people such as I, or anyone who goes against Your commands.  I am thankful, that under Your Kingdom, I receive the spirit of adoption which leads me to call You, Abba Father.  Father, while I have suffered condemnation from those who have sought to take out the speck from my eyes, while keeping the plank in their own, Your Word says in Romans 8:18, “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.”

I thank You that all things are working for my good as I choose to love You, and believe I am called according to Your purpose.  You Father, did not spare Your own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall You not also give me freely, all things? I am permitted by grace to say, that nothing can separate me from the Love of Christ – not tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword. In all these things I am more than a conqueror through Christ. I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate me from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, my Lord.

And so I pray this day as I entrust every aspect of my life into Your loving care. I submit my ways to You for You alone can make my paths straight. Take over my life, Father. Order my steps according to Your will. Even when I don’t fully understand the path, help me to trust that Your ways are higher than mine (Isaiah 55:8–9). I choose You above everything else. More than clarity, more than comfort, more than anything, I want You. Draw me close to You, never let me go.  Remind me that You are always with me, even to the end of time.  Mould me and make me into Your perfect image and cause me to walk in Your perfect will, that I may be acceptable as a child of the Most High. This I pray in the mighty Name of Jesus Christ.  Amen
Rape and abuses
Heavenly Father, Lord Jesus, The Word is boundless in wisdom and power. I thank You that You are not a God who is blind, deaf or resistant to the violation that I have endured.  You see all things, hear all things, know all things.  It is written that three bear witness on earth in 1 John 5:8. The witness is the God in me who is aware of the atrocities done against me.

As I pray in the secret place of the Most High, hide me under the shadow of Your wings.  Hide me from the trauma of being violated, from the fear that gripped me, from the pain that threatens to swallow me up.

Your throne is established in justice and truth. Your wisdom is higher than the heavens, deeper than the oceans, and beyond all human understanding. No act of injustice escapes Your sight, and no cry of the broken goes unheard before You. Your Word says You are close to the broken hearted.  I am broken to the point I cannot feel Your presence. Hold onto me as I navigate through this dark period of my life. I am reminded that Your Word contains even rape and abuses, the violation of acts against other humans by those who have power and strength.  Dinah was raped by family, so was Tamar and even the unnamed woman in Gibeah. Evil of this magnitude exists even today of which I am a victim.  And so I pray,

As You have done to those who caused rape and violations against others, do it again.  Bring my assailants to their death.  Sentence them Lord and issue a death certificate unto their names.  It is written in Isaiah 5:14, “Hell has opened her mouth wide to receive those who have done evil.”

Lord, whether You do it through the justice systems of our country or decide to reward them according to their deeds, directly from Heaven, I am comforted in knowing that they have begun a journey towards everlasting death.  Your Word remains, and justice and judgement is never flawed or forgotten.

I thank You Lord, for hating violence. Help me meditate on You, that healing may come quicky. Help me to be reminded that their ways are dark and slippery and the Angel of the Lord has begun his pursuit of them.  They will never be able to hide from the glory of God’s creation which sees their works and is moving towards them in ways that will make them fear for their deeds.

Vengeance is the Lord’s and God’s wrath is upon the children of disobedience. I trust In Your power to declare the unrighteous, unruly abusers and rapists, not just those who violated me, but also those who violated people who do not know how to seek  You for Your help in this time of need. I declare that You alone are holy, You alone are just.  I leave my abuser in Your hands for the breaking of their bodies and souls. And in Your perfect justice and unfailing mercy, I rest. Thank You Father, thank You Lord Jesus, Thank You Holy Spirit. Amen.
Pornography
Sovereign Lord, without You I can do nothing.  Your Word says, lift up the gates that the King of Glory may come in.  Lord, I confess, I am shut in by heavy spiritual gates that have come as a result of my own works. Instead of letting the King of Glory reside in my heart and mind, I invited the spirit of Pornography for the satisfaction of my flesh. Your Word says, the flesh profits nothing.

Lord, I am fighting a raging battle within me. While I want You, I also am struggling to evict the spirit of pornography from my mind and life.  Your Word is painful when sin erupts, yet it holds all power to deliver me from living within the walls of hell in my life.  What I find to be temporary pleasure, is slowly devouring my mind, body and soul.  Your Word says in Hebrews 12:11 that discipline is painful now, but it produces righteousness later. Help me become disciplined in this regard.  Set a guard over my eyes and my thoughts.  Psalm 101 says that I should put no impure thing before me.

Have mercy over my addiction to the spirit of porn.  Destroy it Lord, and it shall be destroyed.  It has created an evil altar in my head and heart.  It steals space in my mind; it brings distortion and I am unable to make clear decisions.  Those who make these movies carry spirits of intense lust and with it, darkness that will only go when Light enters. The baggage they carry is upon me, and I cannot bear this burden. Your Word says that even looking at another in lust, is sin to You. It leads to darkness and in darkness, I cannot progress. Your Word does not take sin lightly.  Galatians 6:7 says that I reap what I sow.  I have come to understand that I do not reap in proportion to what I sow, but in an abundance which I cannot contain. A seed bears a whole tree and this tree bears fruit which is seen.

Don’t just remove this struggle, replace it with something better.  I come to You knowing this is not just a moment of weakness, but a habit I need Your help to break. Fill my time with Your plans, that I have no time to even remember these movies that open satanic doors which I cannot close. It is written in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that no temptation has overtaken me except what is common to man, and that You will provide a way of escape.  Therefore Lord, in Your everlasting kindness, rescue me from this pit and set my feet upon a rock.  Take me out of what I see as pleasure.  Spiritually, it is a destruction to my soul. Create in me a clean heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Teach me to honour You with my body.  1 Corinthians 6:18-20 says I am to remember that I am not my own, but bought with a price of the Blood of Your only begotten Son, Jesus Christ.  Your Word stands as a command to all.  Lord, I ask not only for forgiveness, but for transformation. Break every chain, renew my mind, and lead me in a path that brings life, not destruction. This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
Gambling
Omnipresent God, I am captivated by the Wisdom of Your Word.  And I thank You for Your Holy Spirit who has helped me apply this Word into my daily life. As I pray for Your aid into stopping my gambling habit, I remind myself that such an addiction, according to Your Word is against the commands You have given.

While gambling is known to cause losses, pain and suffering to many families, I am shocked at what it does in the Spirit realm.  The Old Testament reveals that people cast lots to win.  There is but one time in the New Testament that lots were cast to win.  This was with the Lord’s garments upon His crucifixion.

I am reminded that garments carry spiritual impacts that we must bear if we can.  The soldiers thought they would gain the same power the Lord carried around when He healed, delivered, educated and raised people up.  Alas, they did not understand, that this time, His garments carried the sins of the world. This is what we inherit when we gamble.

Lord, gambling is the casting of lots, and when we win, we receive the pain, anger, frustration, sorrows of those who lost.  I have come to understand that gambling and winning is worse than gambling and losing.  It is because I am receiving the territorial spirits that come with those who pay their monies in and go away empty handed.  And so I pray this day, that I may refrain from what I see as an unwanted inheritance. I do not desire the sufferings of families, the abuses that take place behind closed doors as a result of it. I do not wish to open up spiritual gates of separation from loved ones.  I am reminded that You are watching over all things. Gehazi in Your Word reveals that he gambled his health away when he went after gifts he did not rightfully earn.  I pray that I may be forgiven for indulging in what I thought was bringing me joy.  Through Your Word, I have discovered the huge spiritual impact that manifests in the natural and takes away my health and happiness.

It is written that I should engage in productive labour.  A good work ethic is God’s design for mankind from the beginning of time.  Gambling is an attempt to get rich quickly.  Yet it is written in 1 Timothy 6:9-10, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

Lord, I pray, forgive me and deliver me from this habit. Let me remember that if I seek the Kingdom of God, all things that I need, shall be added on so there is no need for me to gamble.  This I pray in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.  Amen.
